True kinda agre.....I work with a couple of mexicans who make pretty much no money just enough to get by jumped the border and somehow got green cards. Anyways, there mid to late twenties and are pumping out kids. One is 29 and has 3 kids the other has 2 and is 27. Would not be opposed to limiting

and he wasn't saying anything similar to what you are saying. did you read his post? he's talking about taking away welfare and then stopping people who were on welfare from reproducing. you are talking about stopping a small proportion of criminals from reproducing. not sure why you think he is saying what you are saying in his own words. maybe you can't read?
 
Stopping people on welfare from reproducing: i stated that in my first post. It was the most important part of my argument. People too poor or badly fit for parrenting. Your getting anoying with this.

and i don't know if i even agree that the welfare thing would cause a change in 10 years. definitely a better chance than stopping criminals reproducing, but i still wouldn't count on it.
 
why do you say that? did i ever explicitly say i thought that taking away welfare would cause us to see change in 10 years? i was agreeing with dolan's general point that you could theoretically see change if enough social pressures were introduced at the same time; not the specific situation of taking away welfare.
 
i have my doubts. at the very least i'd like to see some solid evidence that supports your hypothesis

I saw that WWII in color and they did a little thing on German soldiers and it said a lot of them didn't want to partake in the genocide/war crimes. They just had to do it because of orders.

A Capitalist is somebody who believes in free trade and a free market, those who want to succeed will, and those who are the real leeches will not survive. Greedy people will still be greedy even in a communist system. The more government is involved and the more we take from the rich to feed the poor, the poorer your country actually becomes.

Take it easy sports fan, I'm not trying to personally attack you. Also I'm a business major in university and have paid for all my own belongings with my own earnings savings my entire life.

If you knew anything about economics you would understand that what I'm saying has nothing to do with morality, it's simply business. I understand that everybody doesn't start with an equal playing field, but it's a fact that the more government programs you have the poorer your country will be as a whole. The wealth of an economy is determined by the ability of the well off to create 'good producing' jobs, and the more government involvement the less incentive the rich has to create said jobs. Why I am even arguing with you is beyond me.
 
Even in the America of today if you really want to succeed you will, it's the people who sit around and make excuses about what they don't have and how unfair it is that will never make it.

Yes it is a lot more difficult to change your class in the America of today, yet not impossible by any means. And who do we have to blame? Don't blame the upper class for holding on to their money, when the blame really rests on the shoulders of corrupt politicians with spending problems funded by taxing the rich for creating jobs. How can an economy flourish with so much legislative policy? It can't.

and poor people shouldnt have to work ten times harder. a rich kid can step into his dads company as a vicepresident of useless operations and never really work and earn tha moneyz.

not everybody who is "working" hard, becomes rich. thats the american dream, not the american reality. or anywhere else on that planet, for that matter.

gladly, money is not equal to happiness, and a lot of poor people live satisfied and happy lives beyond our culturally inherited greed and jealousy. but there is a border, where you dont have enough to eat, done have a roof over your head and your kids dont have a fair chance in society. thats the point where a government has to spend the money of someone who can afford it to better these situations.

i hate how people on this site, which are by definition among the top 15% (estimation) in the world, given how expensive skiing is, act like everything is so easy, just because me and you have it that easy.
