So, what do you think? Do you use the word? Is "nigga" a different word that inscribes a new context? Should some people be allowed to use it, and others not? Is it even relevant in our society today? Is it dead? Is it racist?
 
k well, if black people call each other niggas, how the fuck do they get offended when non-black people say it.

Yeah, well 'crackers' have always had civil rights. It doesnt have power because its never been an empowering word.
 
in paterson nj, we like to call it p-town around here, is full of niggers and they just banned the word, its agianst the law to use the n-word. To give you an understanding of p-town, you dont drive through if you dont have to, you're either there for drugs or prositution or you avoid it. Its been on cops before too lmaoo. Its right near all these rich towns like fair lawn (full of jews) you cross a bridge and theres p-town. Shortest bridge from israel to africa ya heard?
 
haha, i remember fo sho one of the hardest times i laughed was when these chinese cleaning lady bitches came up in an elevator and they were saying nigga over and over. my black friend was about to bust a cap!

It's just not a word us white people should ever use... it stems from an extremely derogetory and hurtful word which was used a lot by whites during a time when blacks were treated like lesser people. That is why non black people should NEVER use the word.

The fact that a lot of blacks use the word is somewhat distrubing, but if they wanna call each other it, who are we as non blacks to say they can't? I've heard some arguments that they're using it in this context to try and overcome the history that the word has had... but the fact of the matter is it's not only disrepectful, but also hateful, every and any time non blacks use the word.

 
i'm fron yankee lake ny, i am good friends with kids from fair lawn nj, they come up in the summer, in the winter we party there. We used to get our piff from p-town now theres no many cops. You tried being funny i'm guessing?
 
My aunt lives in Paterson and it is ghetto as hell. I spent two weeks in Paterson/Newark with my black cousins, it was great. There were days where I was the only white kid I saw.
 
True, but I would argue simply due to the fact that there are people who can and cannot use the word, we're still making inherent boundaries that deepen societal racism. I think if you truly want to break down the barrier and make color indistinguishable, we need to drop the labels that distinguish color.
 
There is no reason for any of us to use the n-word anyway. Who cares if the black people do use it? Its the 21st century and if you're still racist then you need to go back to your trailor and watch nascar.

my boys, black white spanish asian albainan whatever all say nigga, they dont say it to belittle anyone or hateful.....they just say it cause if your boys are your boys then shit thats my nigga. i say nigga with my black friends they dont take offense to it casue its just love.

theres no way they can ban the word or distinguish who can use it......NIGGER is a different story call one of my boys whos black a nigger in a disrespectful way and theyll end your day ...... but i see nigga as more of a term of endearment like i wouldnt call someone my nigga unless they were one of my real tight boys.....its a term minorities use REGARDLESS of color to just use to relate to each other

its a whole big issue that cant really be talked about intelligently on this forum cause kids throw around nigga and nigger cause their behind a computer screen. the term nigga has different meanings to different people depending on demograpihcs, ethnicity, and economic status. I cant really expect a kid from a predominantly white upper class suburb to even understand how and why the word nigga is used. they just use it cause they hear rappers and shit say it. kids from urban enviornments with influences from everything usually have a much better understanding about the word.

my black friends refer to me as their nigga....im white .....but im their boy and its all love so they yea this is my nigga.

this is just a spiral topic that could go on forever

the use of the word by white people makes me feel really uncomfortable, and i think there is a very different connotation when it ends in -er or -a.
 
the difference is in the ending of the word, they dont say nigger they say nigga. I get offened when i am called a cracker, but cracka is fine
 
whats the difference? as long as you say it and you dont mean it offensively does it really matter?? it shouldn't be taken out of context, i dont say it habitualy but sometimes when i'm just messin around i'll be like "nigga please!" or something along those lines... people just need to stop being so fucking politically correct and not worry about hurting everyones feelings... but if your saying it as a racist, thats pretty raw.

White people can call white people niggas.

Black people can call black people niggas.

White people cannot call black people niggas because of the history behind the word... it's just degrading, unless of course you're good friends with said black person and y'all have kind of accepted it as OK.

Black people... would never call a white person a nigga. I can't think of a situation where that would occur. If it did, black people never owned white people, so I'm calling it legit.
