you could see his shadow in one shot, but other than that it was really really really impressive/moving. It always surprises me how much a film with no characters or plot, something that is just images and sound can move people so much.

I've pointed my camera into the night plenty of times, out in the middle of the desert and whatnot. I have NEVER gotten color in the starts like that. Is he just pumping the shit out of saturation?

Most likely, the scene with the trees and fog was really saturated.

Oh man you fail hard. It's all photos. The astrophotography shots are exposures anywhere from 30sec to 2min I'm assuming from the amount of movement and drag some of the shots have. Timelapses are photos dude.

most likely but he's also 3500m+ on top of a mountain where one of the world's greatest observatories is so i bet there are some amazing colors up there.

im sure it was all shot RAW and heavily post processed to get a bunch of the colors. No way your getting that straight out of camera.
