i was cleaning my room the other day when i came across my old gameboy. it had pokemon blue version in it. that game was the shit. It was the bees knees. im pretty sure all of you have gone through a pokemon phase.

After the summer of grade 5 I left my gameboy and pokemon blue at my cottage for the winter, when I came back in May I played the game all summer, just sitting on the dock. Now its like 7 years later and I've been doing it every summer, just slaying pokemon blue when I'm bored. Its really awkward when people are remembering back on the old days and they bring up pokemon. I'm always correcting them when they pronounce a name wrong or make a mistake when they are talking about which pokemon evolves into who.
 
Man, red was a bust from the get-go. The first gym is the guy with a unibrow who has all those rock monsters, fucking charmander cant do shit with that bull shit ember attack.
 
goddamn i was into pokemon. Dude, I would get nervous whenever I would go into challenge the elite 4. I was making strategies about which pokemon to use against theirs. Shit was like crack.
 
possibly the most fun game ever i used to do the unlimited rare candy code and all my pokemon were level 100 an dominated the shit outta everybody
 
no yellow version was the shit because you could get all three starters plus pikachu he probably just picked charmander to start.

and i played all those ones too they are so much fun
 
Well you didn't have to choose Charmander you know. I'd say the best to choose was Bulbasaur because he could dominate Brock's Geodude (one coolest name ever) and Onyx, and take on Misty's water Pokemon. Finding a Pikachu early in Viridian Forest is good for the second gym too. Charmander only really gets effective in the fourth gym city (Celadon?) where you can fight fire against grass. I think Blastoise becomes the best at the end but my favorite will always be Charmander since I am a Pokemon Red person myself.
 
gold and silver were the shit just a perfect amount of cool new ones before they started getting gay and repeditive and i still know all 493 of them i spent way to much time playing pokemon
 
kid knows his shit...still you have to start with charmander, charizard is the most bad ass of all Pokemon or in that fact imaginable animals ever period
 
the worst part about the new ones is the names and appearances are different but they are fit into a couple of molds

1. starters-powerful as shit. water,grass, or fire type
2. good beginners- suck at first evolve into killers
3. bad beginners-suck at first, suck evolved, just plain suck. this is what the majority of them are
4. mid levels-usually found a couple cities in, not good not bad
5. killers- not very many. hard to get but they tear up everything.
6. legendaries- a series of three somethings, one that is determined by the game you buy and assorted others good for mainly collecting

all 493 pokemon can fit into one of these six categories
 
wtf? 493?? when i was in grade 2 i memorized the pokemon tv show rap, but that was like 100 or some shit.. when did they get so friggin many?
 
I liegitimitely had a level 100 Allakhazam. Shit took me so long to get but i remember like getting up and cheering and stuff when it got level 100. Abra was a bitch to get in the pokeball cuz he always ran away. Why do i still know all the names?

oh god, allakhazam was the bomb shit.

i remember i made it to the last island twice, and my brother deleted my game twice. i stopped playing after that.
 
damn dude, I had all 151 on my blue version and got my blastoise to lvl 99 without rare candy code bullshit. what an epic game
 
i need to get myself pokemon red again... or at least some pokemon game they might be the greates games of all time at least the old ones
 
i had blue red yellow

the yellow sucked, bcause pikachu was behind you, when you wanted to go back, pikachu was blocking ur way
 
i traded my charizard card for a copy of the blue version, which i kind of regret. It sucked too, because the bitch who traded it to me fucked up her game by doing that missing no. cheat thing.
