The most legit backyard setup ever...

ok, so my mom might build a new house in Napa, and I sort of just asked her if i just get a water ramp for the pool, and surprisingly, she actually said yes. now, she might not even built the house, but if she does she says we might be able to get a water ramp and a trampoline. now, im wondering if its actually possible to make this water ramp into a pool. I saw the thread on somebody have a water ramp into a lake, but this is into a pool. so it might not be to safe.the pool will be around 15 feet deep, and the size will probably be the size of a normal pool.So pt your thoughts here, and can anyone tell me where to get a water ramp? ( if its possible)

sounds scary. build a 20 ft platform that you can just jump off of... and then put a drop in on it and send it... just learn how to set things off of cliffs and then you'll hit the BC and kill it.

my freind has a water ramp into his pond and the lip is pro 15 ft off the water. like its probably bigger then you want to make yours, there is a hill for the inrun and everything..

but mybe you could build your own it would just be really hard. like a 20 ft platform with a down ramp and a jump.

but the jump would have to be like 30 ft away from the pool so you could land in it right ( depending on how far you go )

and then you would have to worry about going left to right and htting the walls and such.

I would judt go with like a highdive or something easier man

it will be too hard to get the trajectory right. It's too dangerous. Like the guy above me said, make it a cliff drop, that's the only thing that will work. Otherwise you'll get people undershooting, hitting the coping of the pool, overshooting entirely...terrible, terrible wrecks. Water ramps are sketch enough with an adequately sized pool.

You need a way bigger pool than the normal size, It would be very

unsafe because you running the risk of hitting the sides. You cant "get" or "buy" a water ramp. You will have to build one which will cost some

bones and alot of hard work, You will also need a hill to get speed for

the ramp, and you will have to buy sno-flex which isn't very cheep to

my knowledge. And if you would want to soften up the landing you might

want to invest in a bubble system. The depth of the pool is fine at 12ft. and to top it off im sure your

insurance company wouldn't approve of it, they don't even like

trampolines.

Hope that helps! Sounds like a sick idea if it gets pulled off the right way, Good Luck!

1000th post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! btw

You might run into some insurance problems in insuring your house as many companies won't insure a house with a trampoline, let alone a water ramp going into a pool. It would be sick if you could pull it off though

build a box/rail that goes over the length of the pool and just pimp your drop in. it will make for a cool shot and let you get super gnar gnar techie on your jibtricks. with super minimal consequence.

i dont think the average consumer size pool would be big enough for a water ramp but if you are keen on building some sort of ramp and are willing to put out the money why no build the ramp into a foam pit???

the inground tramp idea sounds sick too

wow, thanks everybody for the input... wasnt really thinking about insurance, so thanks to the people that mentioned that.oh, the idea with the rail sounds sick, i might do that if i find a good way to build the rail over the pool.um yeah, foam pit sound like a good idea, but no hole for it. could you just buy a bunch of foam pieces and kind of pile them on top of each other?and if i do get a trampoline, and inground one sounds sick, + it looks a lot better.so just keep putting your ideas up, a lot of them sound sick.thanks

No, you build a box for them, like this:

depends how big your ramp is. But probably. You'd also move the box farther away so that it wasn't right at the lip of the jump, because you'll never be going that short

yeah youll need a fairly large box but you could probably build the whole box for under 200 easily and i dont get why you need insurance if its just you.

unless i missed if you were thinking of having people pay then my bad

i think i foam pit would be the way to go and if it is beside the tramp then you cna bounce into it if you want
