I have no idea but I'm left handed, and somewhat ambidextrous with some things. I snowboard, and learned 3's frontside first, and then just decided i wanted to be able to spin backside cause I think it looks better, plus easier to spot the landing, and had no problem learning them and now it's my preferred way to spin.
 
I will add to my original answer and say that knuckle taps are really impressive. Alex Hall's dub 12 knuckle tap was fucked up... could be top trick of this past season

I am left handed and spinning left is awkward as hell for me. I think it more has to do with how much you practice from a young age. I learned corked 14s on a trampoline before I could properly cork 5 and 7 unnaturally and I could only ever get 9 inconsistently. Too much work.
