ok I have been listening to their album nonstop for the past 4 days, it is fucking amzing. Its the best cd to come out in a long time. I highly recommend picking this one up

 
you cant really compare it to atdi, its pretty different. i saw them live a while ago. wow.

Ahh. I've been listening to it for four days non-stop. It's just great. The album doesn't contain a single boring/bad track and the music just sounds incredible. ( Never heard anything near this)

 
i just got their CD the other day and its SO amazing!! i love it and even tho i cant say i have been listening to it for 4 days... i have been listening to it quiet alot since i bought it

its all about the 609
 
i have been listening to them for a couple months now...de loused in the comatorium is the best CD ever made

yeah i heard these guys back in november and they are probably my favorite band. The cd is no doubt the best cd ever created. Every song is good and you never get sick of it. But only listen to it from beginning to end, dont start from the middle or something because that ruins it. The cd is a story about the bands friend overdosing on rat poison. After taking the poison he goes into a coma for days and dreams about good fighting evil. When he wakes up he jumps off of a building.

Dad:'I dated a girl that went to that school, Suzy Friedmen'

Mom:'You went out with a jew?'
 
hmmmm....i heard their cd was good, but i saw them open for perfect circle this a few months ago and i thought they sounded like ass. they were playing on a fucked up sound board, but it basically sounded like the singer was just yelling incoherently. he does cool tricks with the mic stand though

they are so awsome live, they are soooo much more progressive than at the drive in, i love mars volta. cedric is a killer at dancing

I enjoy Mars Volta a little but even I will admit that they suck, they are a terrible band, and the guy is just whinning thorough out the whole CD. This is the CD summed up:

tracks 1-3:Ever one sounds almost exactly the same...Heavy screaming, loud music.

tracks 4-10(however many their are):Crap, boring crap that all sounds the same!

 
at the drive in kicks ass. Ive only heard a few mars volta songs but from what ive heard their not too bad.

they are amazing, numbers 6,7,9,10 are so good

what and awsome cd. have you seen the video for their first hit (i would try to spell it, but even phonics cant help me with this one)? its trippy as hell.

Their first single was Sun et Lumiere/ Inertiatic ESP. They're second single is Televators (track #9). And the video for that is really cool.

 
That's really interesting about the CD. I've downloaded about a dozen songs of thiers, and think they're awsome, I'd love to hear the album the way it's supposed to be listened to (to bad I'm too poor to actually ever buy cds). Whoever said they all sound the same, I couldn't disagree more. I find they have a song that could fit into every genre of music.

i like at the drive in a lot, and mars volta is pretty damn good too

If you ever catch on fire, don't look in the mirror, cause I bet that would really throw you into a panic!
