sugar loaf in cedar sold back to the guy who previously owned it before the resort was bankrupt. thought some might like to know. it would be great if the loaf could get back up and running again. i havent been there for four years and its starting to get to me. i miss it

would people laugh if i took snowblades to summer camp? - some snowblader

I remember going to sugarloaf way back in the day. The always had a gingerbread ski run, with a chairlift and everything, that was my favortie part of the trip.

skiing sucks

the article didnt say if it was going to reopen. i assume the owner would try to get it back up and running but the lifts are so old and bad that they would all have to be replaced. It did have some of the best skiing in northern michigan

yeah i grew up at that place. and homestead. although it's went through like 10 owners in the past 5 years. i wouldn't expect it to reopen. they need a hell of a lot of money to get that place back up and running. it would be so great if it did. i agree with the chairlift remark. so sketchy. but fast.

im not really thinking that getting it back up and running was possible. i know it will take millions of dollars for updates but it would be nice to see Sugar Loaf open again

i will try to. there was a picture of it with snowmobile tracks on it so im supposing that people do hike it. probably great untracked snow on it.

supposedly it was sold to a lady who owns a rehab center

Save Sugar Loaf! It's our resort, not just real estate.
