after months of waiting i got them. first time i saw them i said those arent skis...... so fat. mounting them doesnt work... jigs arent fat enough. had to make a paper jig. i got on the mountain and i was scared. they are so damn fat and im on the east. on ice.

i built up some speed and started to turn them and they are THE MOST AMAZING SKI IN THE WORLD. they can make slalom turns, gs turns, gigantic switch carves with ease one of the most stable skis ive used going fast on ice. every single run left me in awe about how amazing the ski is.

this is my impression after 5 runs on ice. you are a fool to not get a pair. snow is on the way.....

good for you man!! they are one fat pair of mother fuckers... are they the new black ones with the castle/dragon?? cuz that graphic is toïght

I was going to get a pair next season or late this season if I get a job. they're wicked awsum skis.

what do you think about the size? 172 seems short and I know line measures differently so they may seem even shorter. does the design make up for it? im about 150-160 5'10"

i'm seriously wondering when the fuck i'm going to get to ride a pair of these. it's starting to piss me off

well i went from the 186 pollard.... to the 172 elizabeth. i was just as comfortable on the elizabeth... even more comfortable switch.. they are UNBELIEVEABLE. i used them on icey groomers and liftline etc out east they killlllllllllll

I konw that they are 172 because of the way they are designed, like a 182 would probably be cool but it doesn' tneed to be that long.

I think I saw you this past weekend at Smuggs...I saw a kid with last years Pollards. Will you be rocking the 'Lizs at Smuggs this weekend? Hopefully we'll get a good amount of snow, I'm planning on breaking the Pistols out for the the first time this year.

Thats awesome man, with the width i would have thought they wouldnt do so well on hard packed, but thats awesome.

The elizabeths will be great on groomers, until they decamber themselves do to their massive sidecut. Then you will me sloshing around all over the place. For the east coast you are not going to beat a skinny ski for turning in the long run. Its not about knowing how to ski, its about physics and the properties the ski has.

As for being amazing in powder, yeah they will be good. Unpredictable as hell to most people though with the waist size compared to the tip/tail.

As a balance of the two though they will do a decent job of both, which is what they are meant to do. Be decent in both, they are not amazing in both from a perspective of pure performance in either. However they will be fun everywhere.

i would get them bigger. 5'10'' is 177.8 cm and you want the ski the same size as you if not bigger if you're a good skier.

So are you saying they will loose the camber right away, like after a season? I don't think they'll be that shitty.

yes, the shape and flex of the ski make up for them being short, i rode my buddies pair and i'm on 177 chronics, and i felt as if i were on a ski longer than my chrons

Im saying they will lose their camber alot faster than a regular ski, just because the ease of flexing it through the sidecut. I'm not sure how quick they will, although line has never really had a great hisotry of keeping things from delaming.

Not from wacking, from flexing. Which is what your skis do everytime you turn, and is amplified in the turning of the ultra sidecut skis.

Now my only decision is between them and the seth vicious 179. anyone ski both? I want a ski I can rip the while mountain with but won't be too much of a noodle. anyone ski both? any comparisons?

I can settle a few things.

I have them and I live on the east coast. They are amazing. they work really well on hardpack and even ice. if you want to carve you just put them on edge and fly. i can carve harder on them they i can on my ar5s. and yes obviously they work well in powder. we got a little bit of pow recently and i have never had more fun on a ski.

Also, they ARE made in china. it said so on the sticker that came on them when i bought them.

As far as I know, any of the skis made in Canada are prototypes. All the production models should be from china, since they no longer have the canadian factory. Also why they took so long to come out.

im tellin u that you dont need a 182.... so stop crying that ur too big. day 2 was better than day one on these things. they have super powers!!!! im like 160 pounds and i ski hard. they dont feel soft or short at all.
