So I plan on attending either Okemo Mountain School or Mount Snow Acadamy next winter.

The thing I haven't found out about is....the life there.

i mean, 5 months is a long time to live somewhere while you're in high school.

okay, maybe not.

either way, what's it like?

what's the housing situation like?

the party scene?

chicks?

AFTER school and skiing?

weekends?

competitions?

flying home?

closest airports?

things to do at night?

personal life?

computers, tv's, etc?

other sports?

i rent a condo for the season right next to two mount snow academy kids and we always party with them there super chill there is a whole group of them that are close ....academy life as they have described it is sick, they have a full day of class monday and a half day of class on mid week days and all riding on friday they get so good just making loops in the park. Pluse they seem like they have a lot of freedom if i was younger and i coulddo it again i wouldgo there for sure

 
What's the skiing life like?

Like, I'd no longer be going there for aerials and newschool...just newschool.

is there newschool coaches?

i mean, am i going there to learn twister spreads off mogul jumps too?

is it the thing, like, if i wanted, i could just sit in the park every day fro a week, and a coach would be with me, and we could just work on a certain trick?

i mean, it sounds too good to be true. like you coudl get SO good, you have coaches EVERY DAY ALL WINTER!

well i have a condo at mt snow bet i dont know about the academy but at night there are awaly parties at the snow barn but i think you have to be 18 or somthing to go in im not sure

 
oh and the air port is mt snow air port but its only small privet planes to fly from a comrical place you prolly have to drive down to bradly in CT or in burlington

 
cva has the best jibbers from any academy. dan marion, silas miller, corey vanular and boyd went there a couple of years ago. dan and silas place in the top 10 for the x-games superpipe and they came in 1st and 4th for the breck x qualifiers

when i see kids from the acadamies just freeriding they usually dont have a coach with them

from what I can see, going to an academy = no life. I was going to go but what my friends say it's really shitty, train all day school all afternoon and evening, and when you do have free time during the week you are under a lot of watch. I;m sure it depends on what school you go to though, I don't know about the schools you listed I'm up in the North

I have a friend who went to Okemo, and all he did really was ride and smoke pot. He did work and all, but when he came back to school after the winter and everything, he was so far behind us all. Its def a good experience though, you will get sick no matter what. And you will smoke a lot of pot if thats your dizzle.

 
hellmuth...you haven't even started at CVA yet...

one of my friends goes there and they do have quite some free time, and there's partying for sure...and she's allowed to ski with friends when they come up......but comps are every weekend

dont go to CVA unles you want to be surrounded by a sausage fest, shitty headmasters/teachers/rules/ CVA is only sick if you travel alot. the guys that are good are not good b/c of the coaches, theyre good b/c they have natural talent.cva gives us the opportunity to travel which equals skiing better parks all over the country/world, also the tramps are sick, but other than that it blows. trust me ive gone there for 4 years. everyone here complains about how boring it is..

i got offered a scholarship to cva. i can also get into the snow academy for really cheap on a scholarship and connections. im too poor to go anyway and my dad would never let me go

dont go to new york. all it has to offer is i love ny stickers
