The Largest Ripoff of our Time

He didn't hack the code, he wrote his own (with some help from me actually.. little did I know..). But what he did was steal the idea, and not just the over-all concept, but every little detail. Even the descriptions, as someone pointed out, are stolen.

haha harvey, you cant be incredibly pissed if you gave him some of the coding. its like handing a murderer a gun and expecting them not to kill someone. and yes i will get flammed since i am not worshipping harvey. and just so nobody thinks i agree with it, i dont. he shouldnt have stolen the site word for word. i just thinkn everyone is making a big deal of it.

hey, i remember x_boarder coming on the site and asking people skilled at coding to join him in launching a site about skiing. he said there was money involved, and the donations he used to ask for are the same paypal account as the one on mc.com. This is def. a rip off, talk to him harvey, if not talk to his ISP and get his site offline, it is a flagrant rip off of your hard work.

OKay melves said some stuff on the first page of this thread about me and i just want to clear it all up.

First of all when i first saw mountaincanon i was exiced because it was another community just like newschoolers, to talk to people on. And Me being intriuged with web design i stared questioning pablo about his coding which even harvey said 'he did all on his own' so, as i had for a awhile wanted to start a small interacive website for me and friends to takl on (i.e. a mini NS) so as i was going about this i realized i was way too stupid to do it by my self and after questioning a harvey a bit i got no replies what so ever. And me realizing harvey was a busy man I went to pablo for some questioning and this led to Pablo agreeding to help code my new site. so as mevles said on my current website there was link with things for pablo to do. Durring this process i have tried my hardest to make my new site unique from Newschoolers yet the first thing i did was put harvey under 'about the site' page saying that the site was highly based on NS and thank you to harvey, and under the 'thank you page' saying thanks to harvey for creating the best site ever and helping to infulence me into the web side of skiing. So as i kept talking to pablo i kept talking on mountaincanon, then on becomeing an 'active user'.

And the fact that i ski at cannon mt. and it is called mountaincanon has nothing to do witha nything considering i met pablo nearly a year after Mountaincanon was created, and plus he lives in fucking like Findland!

My new site with pablo still isnt done but when is i hope you all understand that I in no way mean to steal from harvey or intrude on NS in anyway.

Any ways that my side of the story i know i was lengthy and plobably know one cares but o well.

First off, I'm clearly not going to sue.

But, his logic is flawed. Writing his own code has nothing to do with copyright infringement.

I'll use another anology. If Salomon used completely different methods of creating a ski, but it came out identical to Armada's, it's still an identical ski, is it not?
