this kid is one egocentric bastard. he is a dedicated weekend warrior who pulls up to the parking lot boosting his hip hop as he looks around to see if anyone is looking at how cool he is. he thinks he is hot shit with his armada skis and oakley pants. On the way up to the mountain in the bus, all you hear from this kid is how sick he is and how he is going to get sponsored someday. he talks about pros,competions this season, and how he thinks all the jumps at the mountain are too small for his skill level.

You get off the bus and this kid grabs his skis, one in each hand, and drags them across the sidewalk, as he walks to the lift lines. He gets to the lift line and thinks everyone thinks he is good, so he smiles.

when he gets off the lift he does a few 180s and skis switch( no carving) and then reverts when things get a little scary for him. he pulls up to the park and looks around. his first runs appear to be humble, a few straight airs. then on his third run he rolls up and starts his ego centric bullshit again, talking just loud enough to get everyones attention. once he thinks everyone is watching he drops in with mad pre-bang and gorrilla steeze. for a second you think this kid is legit. he boosts off the kicker and throws the ugliest looking nine hundred you have ever seen. hands all over the place and legs squirmming.

a few texans and gradma lindas, holler in exicitement 'ohh my, that was most incredible' 'Damn Dave, that kid is crazzyyyy!!!!'

the kid lands with some seroius afterbang and continues to shred like this the rest of the day, thinking he is cool.

What he doesnt realize is he, and kids just like him are ruining skiing. they think they are legit throwing big ugly spins and misties, but cant even do a stilie 3 or five. it doesnt matter how many tricks you can do, work on style and flow not how many times you can spin around.... the end

 
and typing that whole shpiel made everything better? sounds like you're just as bad as the kid you're making fun of. obviously you've paid enough attention to this ''kid'' that you can chronicle his entire daily events, so how are you any better of a person that he is?

i mean i can understand being a little annoyed at someone who talks mad shit but really sucks, but you're bagging on people who ride twin tips and listen to loud music in the parking lot. most people on this site ride twin tips and bump their music in the parking lot. it's not because they want you to think they're cool, it's because they enjoy it more than rocking single tips and listening to emo at a low volume level. the question is why, instead of ignoring this guy and having fun with your crew on the mountain, you've chosen to let him piss you off so bad.

Fuck man, I respect all skiers, whatever their level. If he is having fun at the hill, power to him. Don't get pissed off. This whole story I thought you were talking about a rich kid who bought all this crap to look cool, but couldn't ski worth shit. Turns out he can pull off a nine. Just because he isn't a master of the nine yet and has no style, whatever. He's going out there and trying shit and hitting as big as he can go. That's enough to get props from me.

Hey, I can barely throw 360s and 540s and they're definitely not stylie, does that mean I don't love skiing? Does that mean I'm just here to look cool? You obviously know that love is skiing is proportional to ability in the park, so please explain to me why I get up at 5:00 in the morning every weekend to go ski my favorite mogul and big mountain lines. I have class throughout the week and a job, I can't afford to go skiing more than twice a week.

Yeah I always role up with my music all load but that's cause I don't want to listen the sit the douche next to me is playing. And I'm a weekend warrior so what. I go to college and live 3 hours away from my local hill I can't ski all the time. But that doesn't make me any less of a skier.

Skiing is not really about showing off your hot flips and sick tricks(ha! that rimes)((maybe in competitions)).

Skiing is about making friends and having a good time. It fun to push some tricks to get girls(I say doing it with style).

i hate it when people say this kid and that kid ruin skiing. Park rats ruin skiing, mogul skiers ruin skiing and so forth. These people are the ones who should get ragged on if I see a kid who thinks he's good has newest gear and brags I could care less. What I do care about though is kids who bitch about skiing being ruined cause it never will be.
