The kelly clarkson riddle

Well i started this thing almost a week ago. i had no idea what the hell it was or what i was getting myself into but i am hooked. This is an extremely tricky 100 level long (currently stuck on 42) online riddle/puzzle that gives you small clues and stuff to help you advance to the next level. The riddle is based on a kelly clarkson theme but you really dont need any extensive knowledge about her(before i started i knew she was on american idol, is hot, and sang since u been gone). So i would now like to pass the frustration and addictiveness onto you www.kellyclarksonriddle.com

you will also want to check out the forums(link on main page) they will help you out a ton. the mods on there do a great job of deleting posts that give away the answers.
 
this thing is pretty rediculous. Ill help to get you all started but NO ANSWERS :)

1)use the forums, they are a huge help to get you looking in the right direction.

2)Be aware of the page titles, they usually relate to whats going on or what you need to figure out

3)right click on pictures and look at the properties they are usually named something useful.

4)right click on the page(outside of the pic) and choose "view source" there is usually a helpful hint in there.

you can move on to the next level by either entering a username and password when prompted to do so, or altering the current page url.

and another note, since the 1st person finished in August 05 only 50 more people have completed the entire riddle

im on 4 and i cant find a song with that length. I think that is what im looking for but...idk. I think there are a lot of levels too..
 
how do you write the answer in to get to the next level ... or how do you get to the next level ... im so fucking confused ... can someone help me?
 
I got to level 7, but i gave up.

Just try the answer after the last / in the url and press enter. It might work depending on if its right
 
go to the forums, they tell you what to do....it's about changing the URL to something else...

I'm stuck on lvl 5 and I stop.
 
yeah, aparently its the same style or at least thats what people on the forums have said. I havent tried notpron but im kinda interested to see what its like.
 
you dont need the answers man, its not THAT hard especially with the help forum. just gotta think about it a little and then youll be like oh damn that wasnt so tough. i made it through the 1st 13 levels in one night and now its taking me like a day per level. if i can do it, you guys can do it.
 
just go through the steps man.

-look at the title of the page

-right click on the picture and choose properties to see the picture url

-right click outside the pic and choose view source code and look for the clue in that

-check the help forums.

think about what that list of numbers could represent and why that one is highlighted and what could they possibly have to do with kelly clarkson. the google searches are there to help you find info that may not be given in the clues. if there is no google search on the level you probably dont need it.
 
Im on level two and i have no idea whats going no. am i looking for something to click on.. or type?? or.... WHAT?!
 
read my earlier posts about basic knowledge of how to pass each level. to help you get going on number 2 use all the basic clues like title, pic properties and the source code. your going to have to alter the url by deleting the last part of it(/hur) and replacing it with something that the clues hint at and then put .htm at the end. so insead of kellyclarksonriddle.com/been/hur it will be kellyclarksonriddle/been/****.htm

you will need to do that to proceed in most levels. other times youll get a box that pops up asking for a username and password and you will have to use the clues gathered to come up with the username and password to move on.
 
in the page source it says, "only time will tell", so im thinkin it has something to do w/ time magazine, is this right at all?????? im gunna smash my computer if i dont get this!
 
ive been stuck on 42 for nearly 2 days now :) i dont want to scare anyone but 35 has been the longest and most complicated one so far.

i cant stress this enough for new people but use the forums. i wouldnt have made it anywhere without them. also read through the general help section and rules and stuff.
 
your thinking a little too much into it. think about what all those numbers have to do with time and where you can find numbers similar to those and arranged in a similar way. all the numbers are related but how? and what do they have to do with kelly clarkson(or more generally what do they have to do with just about any musician?). also, READ THE TITLE! it should give you some important hints about the numbers and why the one is highlighted.
 
i'm reallllly stuck on level 8, i've been trying all day

i know the names stuff but i dont know what to type in for the username and pass. brenda lee, sweet nothins, etc. dont work. help!!
 
THis game is awsome I just wish it was based on something besides Kelly Carkson. Im on 5 now but I know what to do I am just too lazy is there an easier way than trying to put it together in your head?
 
im assuming thats the one where you have to rearrange the pics with the letters in em. i just did it in paint and it worked well enough.

and come on man why NOT have it based on kelly clarkson :D
 
actually only 49 people. most are in their 20's thats insane. But yea, i give up, level 6 is just over my head i guess...
 
will someone just tell the answer to level 2 i've been trying to type stuff in and i know how to do it i just am not that good at these things
