The *Jib Game* forums are live !!!

Just wanted to let everyone know we got our first donation of $5, and also our first DVD winner.

Everyone please give Mysia some props, not sure your forum name, but congrats. I sent out an e-mail to ya, will await your response.

We all owe a big thanks to Mysia for taking that first step and being the first person to put some bills towards this game outside of the studio.

oh and these ideas are awesome for the game so far. if you get the budget this game could be AMAZING.
 
im deffiantly gona donate money once i get out of debt with my mom haha and im giving Mysia props for donating the first money to the game
 
ahh i messed up the conformation code to many times. fuck. when does the new session start? tomorrow? ill try then... it looks good though

You can donate by clicking the massive donation button at the top right of the forums we set up.

The plan for the budget has a few different phases, or segments to it.

1. Raise as much as we can through donations, if everyone on NS donated $1-10 we will have more then enough to make this game super legit in a short period of time.

2. Raise money through sponsors, this will take much more time seeing as we have to negotiate with each one to make sure they benefit from giving us some bills for the game.

3. Personal funding from my pocket, this will have to wait until the game I am working on currently gets our big funding push, which is planned to be this summer. If this happens I will be bringing allot more people onto the design team and push for a quick beta release open to everyone free.

Hope that answers some questions for ya. I assure you this is no hoax haha, I want this game to happen as badly as the next person. So please do donate if you can, and like I said if we get everyone on NS to donate $1-10 we will have a legit game much sooner than relying on sponsors, etc.
 
What about the designers? What kind of experience do they have and maybe any way possible to see some of the work that they have done.
 
Well,

I have worked with SoE, Turbine, Origin, and now for Galactic-Village.

I am currently the only designer on the project. Plan to add more as needed, but given how early we are in the project it's not something that is of great concern just yet.

I am spending the next few weeks banging out a draft of the design document, I will then share it with the community (after it gets the gov stamp on it that says no one can jack the ideas) and get your feedback.

Then I will do round two. After round two the game will go into early coding.

I have two coders on board at the moment both with extremely strong backgrounds in the industry.

When we get a legit site for the game profiles on all team members will be posted.

Everybody wants to make sure that we have real ski company products to be used in the game, is there any rights it violates or can we use this to raise money for the game?
 
Thanks bud, glad to see people are into this. donations won't be forgotten btw, we will make sure and hook up everyone who donates in some way.

Like custom skis in game or some special thing that only people who donate will have access to.

We will be able to use actual products once we go through our sponsor round of development. That's still a bit far off though.
 
that and the mountains themselves need to be contacted i'd think to be able to use their names in assocaition with the game

is there anything we can do to get the industry to suport us?
 
Well I plan to have a draft of the design document done before the end of June.

The the second draft shortly there after.

Then we can start coding, which will take a few months probably.

It's honestly hard to say until we have the design doc finished so we know how much code/art is going to need to be developed.
 
i live here down in chile and i would do anything to get that game, so i'll be trying to get some money to donate and also let people here know about it... soon i'll be posting some ideas i have a lot!!

$10 on the way. so glad to hear that you wanted to get NS involved. I've already seen a lot of creative ideas on the forum and am already excited to see what this game will be like.
 
also wanted to add, I appreciate that everyone is keep the conversations in the forums legit and mature. No bans yet, and we'd really like to keep it that way.
 
Jibij Pro Shop is on board now as well as Newschoolers. Who will be next to hop on the bandwagon to making this project happen?

I know EC wants in, just need to figure out how we wanna work things with them.
 
i'll talk with my boss at LDM, enlighter, could you write me up a proposal for sponsorship. i could probably get my boss marc to donate some l00t towards it.
