My story begins when my mom feels that I am not to be trusted on the internet. Because of Dateline she believes that everybody on the internet is a pedophile. I am 16 going on 17 now and I have parental controls that block me from the cool sites like youtube, ebaumsworld, newgrounds, ETC.

She can monitor all my e-mails I send and recieve. Which is annoying as hell because she knows things before I even know about them. She even deleted my saved e-mails, really important ones(reciets, proform deals and passwords).

I can't even send an I.M. anymore on NS because of this god damn control. How Else can I talk to my Ski buddies anymore, I can't its summer and they live an hour away and my mom checks my fucking e-mail everyday.

On top of all this my internet is far slower now seeing that she is the master computer and I and my brother are conected to the router which slows the internet My brother and I use. Then add all the parental controls on top of that (because it has to search for bad content).

This really pisses me off because I use to have it all set up really nice. My internet was way way faster when I was just using the internet explorer link because I was the only one in the family using it. It still had parental controls on it but they were flexible, maybe too flexible for my moms taste, but reasonable.

Now I can't do the things that are esential to my Internet life. Lets face it, I am a Geek. I can build My own computer, I play the sims, battlefield 2, star wars battlefront, counterstrike, and the most under rated game of all N.O.L.F.(no one lives forever). The internet is a big part off my life and when I can't play 64 people with a ping at 70 then that pissed me right off. I cant play multiplayer anymore because of these parental controls.

The Irony of all this is that My internet is DSL.

There is nothing else to do but bitch and moan. And where do people turn to bitch and moan, you guesed it Newschooler.com

This really sucks. Want people to read this to compare their internet life to mine.

I know some people will say "get a life" or "go outside"

I know, I know. But I just had my wisdom teeth out and I can't do much else but watch TV or play the computer. I would much rather be skating but its raining out and I felt like doing a little rant.

My internet was once a thriving beast now it is a beast in a cage slowly dying.

I hope I can solve this problem soon. Its tearing me apart.
 
man thats pretty gay. try talking to her and stuff, maybe you can work something out with her.
 
just be like mom i am old enough now that i know not to be an idiot. if she doesn't go for it keep on it. if she still doesn't go for it try and figure out her password and change all the shit around, because i sounds like you have time
 
uhhhhhh... coming from someone very old..... suspicions tell me that if you had the same controls on her, you would find some very interesting stuff.. not that that helps. but maybe. You say you are 16-17 .... ask her often she thinks you................ nevermind, dont do that!
 
Get the 007 Key Loger (i think it's called that).. Bitch can't be found on your computer unless you press ctrl+alt+F7.. it saves all passwords put in the computer, takes screen shots ever 30 seconds and saves photos of websites visited. Install it, get the parental control passwords, change them and your free.

Chances are you'll probably be reading this and i just felt inclined to tell you that chances are your son will be leaving your house in a few years, and will have to start making decisions on his own, you've raised him this far, now it time to let him live and make his own choices. Hopefully the way you've raised him, he has the knowledge to make right decisions. you have to let go, and trust me mrs skianddestroy, i mean no disrespect by this i'm just trying to help

sounds like your momo has the same controls my parents were using on me and my brothers im 14 they 16 and 18. after we got annoyed by that crap for awhile we all just talked to our parents and proved to them were old ebnough to know the dangers and stuff. bingo we were free
 
Building a computer is way different then internet connections.

I have tried everything, passwords, firefox, ETC but she finds out and gets piss angry.

 
wats the problem with uninstalling it? or just mess up ur computer so u have to reinstall windows. thank god my parents dont know how to use the computer.
 
wow thats some terrible parenting. this controlling bitch doesnt let her own son make his own decisions and do the things he wants, what kind of example is she setting for him/teaching him. if she had started this paranoia earlier in your life you would be a complete loser who would completley depends on her to make all your decisions that need to be made, and you wouldnt be able to do anything for yourself really.

expecially when you go to move out would really suck, since you wouldnt have any general experience in... well experiencing things! you'd just be relying on someone else to make your decisions for you. it'd all be knew to you and you'd be one wierd ass person.

does she WANT you to live in her house till your 40?

I'd control that bitch like no tommorow until im happy and settled. How the hell did you even manage to get yourself into this mess? I'm sure if your really good at messing around with computers you could probably figure out a way to screw up her little system by yourself. I think the first great step towards solving this problem is by making your own decisions and rebeling against her ways. show her you wont have it and wont tolerate it. plus you need a private life.
