The Infamous Job Hunt

Yes this thread is about the one of the most tedious processes we all have to go through, unless you're a trust fund baby or a lard ass who lives off of government welfare programs of course. Anyways, Im tired of working dead end jobs in a kitchen or behind a cash register for 8-10 hours a day because I've done it for too long. I wanna find a job that requires physical labor or something that is out of the ordinary. So if you guys have any suggestions or can help a fellow NS'er out than it'd be much appreciated. Jobs in the Colorado area would be favorable, but Im seriously willing to go anywhere as long as its legit and out of the ordinary because Im desperate right now. The job market in Colorado right now seems to be suffering, I saw a stat that says 7 out of 10 young age adults in Colorado are unemployed. That is ridiculous my friends. So help me NS. If anyone has any suggestions than post em up cause my ears are open to literally anything! Thanks!!!

whats the pay like?

what is rent in the area?

and how hard is it to find a winter/4 seasons job?

th-th-thr-three-threeeaaddd jackk

pay ~10/hour maybe a little more

rooms in a house can be had at ~$400-500 a month

very hard. i'm one of a few people i know with a steady, year-round job. lots folks in the area work the winter, then do rafting/waiter jobs in the summer or just jack off to unemployment.

If you are in Aurora still, go to the Buckley dude, me and Brendan worked there for two summers and made like 12+ an hour. They always have jobs open.

Go to a grocery store and see if there's any openings in the meat department/ butcher shop. It's good work and I've been doing it for a year and I'm up to $15 and hour and my pay can only go up

This, you basically go camping for 3 or 4 months. its a lot of hard work, you only make ablout 10 cents/planted tree. but if your good your making a ton of money. 3 summers ago my buddy was averaging between 2500 and 3000 trees a day.

move to ak and work on a salmon boat each summer. i know this kid who made over $20,000 in one summer. youve gotta work hard for that money though

The company that I work at in denver is hiring wharehoue workers/assemblers. Everyday they seriosly hire like 25 new people.

The oil sands. It;s very hard and shitty quality work and the hours are very long but the pay is incredibly good.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I ironically got a call for a job offer about an hour after I posted this thread and guess what? I got a new job! I now work for the Supply Cache inc selling wild land firefighter equipment. I basically sit at a booth by myself for 8 hours a day handing out incentives and coupons to the firefighters fighting the High Park Fire near the town I live in. I make $10 an hour, work by myself, don't have manager/supervisor barking down my throat and I get to watch Heli tankers refuel 300 yards away from. I also get to talk to firefighters all day long which is awesome. Thanks for the help though, if this job doesn't work out than I definitely keep you're suggestions in mind.
PS - This is why I love NS. You guys are the shit!

If you want a winter job, apply to buttermilk lift crew for this winter. Just got off the phone with my boss, were gonna need a bunch of new people this for the upcoming season. Not many returnees this upcoming season.
