We are renting out La Mouche so it's going to be an IF3 party and not just another night at the club

- You gotta be 18 to enter

- VIP pass gets you in, or 6$ at the door

- No serious dress code, but if you're looking like a bum you won't get in

- They'll be tons of sexy ladies so you're going to want to look good, trust me
 
This may have been stated in another thread, but what's the deal with bringing booze into Canada? Me and my friend are both 20 and even though the drinking age in Canada is 18, it's still 21 here. Are they going to confiscate it if they search the car, do we have to declare it, etc. We were planning on bringing up one or two 30's and maybe a bottle. Thanks.
 
According to the law, it only matters if you're legal in the province that you're entering. You can bring small amounts of booze, but I believe it's only like 6 or 12 beers, two bottles of wine or 40oz bottle of spirits. After that, you have to pay duty and at that point, just buy it in Quebec, which has the cheapest hooch in Canada anyway. I wouldn't even bother, you won't save much money and you're inviting a problem. All it takes is one dick at the border to really delay your trip.
 
^That's as I understand it too... I have someone bringing me two bottles from the USA that I can't buy here, but it's 2 750ml bottles of spirits and the guy is 19 so I think he should be ok.
 
Jason had them all at his crib last night and he weighed them individually, the total was well over a ton.
 
i might be able to bring someone from saratoga area. the thing is tho id be dropping u off in montreal sometime thursday cuz i gotta go to ottawa to get my girl
 
any other mcgill kids going and wanna meet up for the saturday movies? I'm going to the ns awards with a bunch of friends but none of them are much into ski movies.

but i have a funny idea, if at some point the top 50 members were called up on stage real drunk, just to meet and greet some standout NS members
 
I don't know if you're technically in Canada at the border crossing or not. If you're in the U.S., you'll get in trouble. Doesn't matter if you're taking it to a country where it's legal. Same idea as driving pot from Germany to Holland.
 
You are in Canada at the border crossing when coming into Canada. The guards that are talking to you/searching you are Canadians, and you're on Canadian soil. SO its no worries for someone who fits our legal drinking age (18+ in quebec) to bring booze in.

Quebec does have Canada's cheapest alcohol, but nothing compared to how cheap the states is!

Q. How much liquor can I bring into Canada?

A. You are allowed to bring in 24-12 oz. cans or bottles of beer or 40 oz liquor or 1.5 litres of wine free of duties and taxes. You must be 19 years of age to import alcohol into Ontario. Any amount in excess of 45 liters will not be allowed entry.
 
My friend doesn't trust paypal/ doesn't think that his pass will get here in time. Can he stop by the office and buy the pass there/ buy one at the door?
 
so there is no way t get into the massive party without a VIP, im ready to pay but i can only go to 2 screenings on saturday so the vip pass would be really expensive for juste 1 party
 
That's alot of people to be on stage. I think we need name tags with our usernames.

Rob if you want to spend the money on an ID then do it, otherwise, I'll be 18 and I can buy drinks.
 
What is the address of the hotel so we can enter it into a GPS?

How far are the bar/party spots from the hotel?

Where do we pick up the VIP pass/other stuff?

the way I understand it show up to the hotel with your ID and youll get it

 
OK... I bought two VIP passes last week. I've recieved and email telling me that their status is "shipped", however when I got home to check my mail they werent there. What happens if I dont get them at all?
 
Paypal does not allow your country of residence to ship to the country you wish to

paypal is giving me this error and i have no idea what it means. The shippng address is in montreal and the billing address is my house in the states. What's the deal?
 
Try putting the shipping address the same as the billing address.

Tickets from now on will not get shipped but be at the ticket booth at both the Salomon party and Cinema Imperial, all you need is a photo ID to pick up your ticket

Do they have a record of everyone who has payed for their VIP passes? Cause I havent gotten mine in the mail. can I just show up with my ID?
 
I can stop by the NS office, I really can't figure out why paypal won't work though...

its on St-Jaques Ouest which is very close to lionel groulx metro. I forget the adress though...like...7495...4795?...its those numbers but not that order...i really dont know lol...
 
so if i just bought ns awards plus am movies ticket, i get them where exactly? they dont kome in the mail...
 
d.brown and i had ours shipped to my house i guess, however nothing was sent that i know of (i'm at school and my parents don't talk to me much). i'm just assuming we go to the hotel someone posted the address to and show and ID or something and we're good. then we'd get all our passes and whatnot. i plan to get to the hotel at around 9pm if thats straight (i got class all day and it takes 6 hours to drive up). lookin forward to this shit haha
 
Paypal sucks ass. I tried to buy my tickets last week and it gave me multiple errors. I went to buy them today and it gives me an error so I log out of the ns store, log back in and buy 1 ticket. It works fine. I log out, log back in, try buying the other 3 and it doesn't work, I try again with 2 and it works now I can't fucking buy this last ticket. This is ridiculous.
