I just found out that a "30% chance of rain" means that 30% of a given area is going to get rain and NOT that there's a 30% chance out of a 100% (guaranteed) chance that there's going to be rain that day.

What??? I always thought it meant 30percwnr of that day would be rain!?

Wait wait wait....not sure if this is true but my meteorologist degree having coworker told me that when they say "30% chance of rain" it basically means that on 30% of days with identical or similar meteorological conditions for the said area it rained. So when they say 30% chance of rain they are saying that on 3 out of 10 days like/similar to today, historically, it rained.

To be fair it took him 6 years to graduate so not a reliable source

My wife’s classmate in residency came out as gay on coming out day. He’s married with 2 kids. Everyone knew, but makes you wonder if his wife did or was in denial. Anyways, funny cause for a video project back in residency my wife made him dress up as a cheerleader. He was all about it but she feels kinda bad. Idk
