I am going to golf 9 holes at Elk Rapids Golf Club. I will report back with my accurate score and that of my partners.
Sparknotes: Par is: 36 shots for 9 holes.
Feel free to use this as, "threads" to record your summer golf progress.
(Golfing/Frolfing are both acceptable scores to post in this thread).
 
Hence, why it is so much fun to play, and not to watch on the boob toob.

WIth this new job i got i get free driving range tokens, I'm gonna be tiger woods accurate by the end of summer.
 
coincidentally, also the two sports in which it is most acceptable to scream expletives.
 
Went to the driving range today, forgot my glove, on my last swing i managed to create a blister and rip it off in the same swing.

Being as accurate as tiger even now is much much better than me just playing like usual.
 
At the country club of detroit short course i shot 25 the other day on my second lap. Granted its a 9 hole par 3 course with two par 4's its still pretty good.
 
Played 9 this morning. Shot a 47. Not too happy. I usually shoot in the low to mid 40's on 9 holes. I love the sport.

 
this spring was my first legitimate season playing. on wednesday i walked 9. coming onto the 9th i was shooting a 42 and all i had to do was get less than eight shots on the hole and i would break 50. i wasn't even worrying about this seeing as i birdied the last hole and parred the two before it. so this fat fuck that i was golfing with decides to tell me in my backswing: "if you don't fuck this up you could score under 50." i topped the ball and couldn't find it. long story short i ended up shooting an eight on that hole. i was quite pissed.
 
not at all.

it is IMO FAR better than most "sports" to watch. because you get to see a variety of things happening and they happen much faster than say football where its one play that lasts maybe 30 seconds and then commercial break. whereas in golf you get to see tiger hit, then phil chip in, then its over to Adam Scott, then its back to Tiger, and so on and so forth.

dont let people tell you its worse than any other sport to watch on TV
 
I'll drink to that, Congrats. I got 6 free passes last year for painting the parking lot lines.. I'll post my scores tomorrow. I am watching Team America World Police right now
 
Laugh out Loud. You actually just didn't notice until you paid attention to it. You should consider replacing your grips.
