Lets talk about awesome runs, fun features, gnar points, cliffs, rails, jumps, weather, pow, ice, crud, homies, core shots, beers, backflips, shenanigans, etc. Really just everything that you want to tell newschoolers about your ski day.

Go!

I tried my first front 4 of the year off of my backyard rail with like .5 inches of snow and fucked myself over.

Still a good day!

On Sunday I went to a popular slackcountry spot, Sacagawea/Fairy Lake, with two of my new ski buddies for my first day of the season. Bootpacked up the hiking trail then climbed a staircase to the saddle, skied a couple mellow chutes, found some rocks, then skied a fun little gully with a lot of fun side hits, then hiked down to the car. Super mellow and fun day, snow was kinda soft crusty hardpack slush stuff. Lowlight with crazy wind at the top.

Day count: 1

Abasin on saturday. Rocked ski blades, hit the sticky rails, waited in the long ass lift line, and had a hell of a good time

Bump

Had an amazing day on Saturday bombing the same rocky groomer all day and flying off a ton of natural features and side hits. Beautiful weather, bluebird skies, no crowds, and overall just an awesome day. Skied nonstop top-to-bottom runs at full blast all day, the first real break we had was when we took the very last run at 4:00 mellow and made sure to hit every side hit and natural feature possible. Shoutout to Big Sky for the impromptu opening, the $40 for two lifts was 100% worth it.

Well I looked at the new skis I bought a few times and did some hand flexing.

Thats about as exciting as my skiing has been thus far.

I feel like I got hit by a truck after hitting my summer setup all weekend because I have no life. Learned blind 3 swaps so I ain't mad.

Basically everyone hates you and your thread at this moment of the season

No hate, only stoke

Get Stoked, man.

Went to Keystone saturday for my first day of the season.

got a speeding ticket first run, so that was fun, had a blast at a mildly reasonable speed the rest of the day.

Last friday my mom let me skip school and go up to A Basin because I got an A on my geometry test. It was soooo dope! No one was there and I did the waterfall rail and a front 270 off the down rail. Only thing that could have been better is if the down rail wasn't urban on because its pretty scary to jump onto rails when you have to come from the side in preseason

You lucky dicks, I went to a preseason jam at my home mountain, ok setup but there was sooo many kids and not enough speed to the first and one of the best rails of the mountain. Hopefully mt snow opens soon, just wanna get back on snow!!!

Well I'm probably going to get shat on for making these posts so early again, but yesterday I bootpacked Bridger and got my first pow laps of the season, then we sessioned a small cliff until we had killed the landing. Awesome fucking day again.

bout to have the first kicker session with some friends of the year, hopefully a backflip or at least cork 3 come out of it. Rails too.... follow us @therealchillumianti to see a vid of it here in a bit!

FUCKING AWESOME.

Went to a rail jam earlier at my home mountain. Nutted up and hit my first kink(FD) ever lol. Even hit it switch. Didn't think I'd ever try it but I'm stoked I did! It was fun as fuck getting to meet up with ski friends that I don't really see in the summer. Also won a few cool snowboarding things(?) hahaha oh well. It was such a good vibe though. I'm still so pumped on it!! I'm ready for real snow now (:

Hiked Bridger yesterday afternoon, got some mellow pow turns in, then dropped a little cliff and lost a ski on a rock under the snow and watched my ski run away on beautiful pow all the way down a bowl. Still a rad as fuck day.

really fun, first day out for the season, all the resorts opened up earlier in the week but I had commitments to attend to. Hauled ass all morning and skied groomers to get the rust off, and lapped park all afternoon till everyone was exhausted/sore. My ankle was starting to bother me and it was low-light and icy, not a bad opening weekend set-up at all. Very Flow-y features. Just wish I didn't have to work this week cuz all my homies are in town and i got family commitments for the holiday this week, still not used to sacrificing school breaks to work haha

Snow was too sticky in the backyard for a rail line so we did our best Bunch impressions on a pair of logs. So much fun to be back on snow

Great first day out yesterday. Found some stashes of shin-to-knee deep pow, but also took some nasty chunks out of my bases on rocks.

Went to Tyrol Basin yesterday for the hike park. Broke my toe the night before. Managed to ski and hike all day with a ton of pain. Still had a great day. RIP little piggy

Hiked Bridger once again yesterday, and today we made it out to Big Sky for opening day. No crowds, bluebird, bitter cold, wonderful. Realized I like to ski bumps a lot on my park skis. Oh yeah, and Jackson Hole tomorrow, hell yeah.

My hill finally opens to day but my skis are getting mounted. Can't use my old skis because the shop needs boots too. I give up. Winter will never start.

Yo yesterday was fucking sick. First day of my season and I had a fucking blast.

Lapped killingtons park with all the homies, watched young kids fucking slay, and got to watch a sick contest later on.

Fuck, it was awesome. At one point someone decided it was a good idea to hand me the megaphone and I made sure to let all of Killington know that "My name's Mingg and Newschoolers fucked your bitchhhhh."

Pretty sure I lost my megaphone privileges after but that's okay. Yesterday was insane haha.

I hit an unneccessary tree gap a couple days ago with a guy who had never skied tline following me. Fun times

Finally had my first day this season! Did the same run 85 times and it got better each time. Wasn't really feeling the park game today and I just wanted to get used to the new ON3P's, so I practiced carving...

Got a compliment from a racing coach on the lift about my turns... really felt good. It was just cool because racers usually scoff at the "newschooler" type... but he was actually genuinely impressed. Made my day even better.

Went to devils head in wisconsin friday after school. 6 hours of driving with two friends, and three hours of skiing. First day of the season so I started the night with some nice carving runs. Finally started trying to ski the park for the first time. kinda have a 180 down, but not well. Did ski slides on boxes a lot just to get the feel of it. I ate shit on a box, trying to slide a box, but it was because I was leaning. So at least I know what to do next time. All in all a good first day of the season.

I just had too much fun. But I would say that on any day I went skiing.

First time at Eldora with the GF. Just chilled, got on them bluskies, and worked on my switch riding.

Second day out this season, 18 inches of snow in the last 24 hours and still snowing. Skiied fresh powder solo all day long, and got yelled at ducking ropes under the lift once.

Last run of the day, after scoping it out all day and moving two of those orange closure poles, attempted a Candide and skiied off a closed lift platform. Didnt hit it very fast, and it wasnt a super tall platform, so it probably didn't look very cool, but it still felt pretty badass

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Our hill only has 1 run open so far with a mini park in it(need more snow for full terrain park) So there were these 2 barrels or pills that were about a yard apart and I kept trying to hit the first one and 180 gap the second. After trying it a bunch all I had was a hurting arm and I was to scared to keep trying :/

most of the time good, timberline on has 2 good lifts open and its dumping rain up there now so kinda bummed
