The Hostel at Jackson Hole/Ticket Deals

Alright, so last few years I've made the pilgrimage up to Jackson Hole from Colorado every season around Christmas/New Years, and of course being J-Hole it never dissapoints, the snow is usually epic for the time of year and I've always met all kinds of cool locals who shred; it seems to be one of the few places left in the country that has a real, legit ski bum culture left. anyways so yeah I am planning a trip up after New Years and was wondering if anyone knew what the deal is with the Hostel-X, I heard rumors it was under new management or something and according to their website it seems their rates have gone up significantly to like over a hundred bucks a night from like sixty!?! I've also heard rumors it has been bought out or is going to be torn down to make way for a new mega-resort.....if so this is very sad news indeed. Given the current shitty state of the economy and the long-ass drive from Golden, I'm lookin to maybe save a little $$ on this trip, any advice? Does the resort have any decent deals in terms of tickets ect.... ?? Any advice appreciated; thanks guys!!Oh and also if anyone wants to ski with me like Jan. 6th-10-th at Jackson, I'll prob be there, I have avy gear/BC experience and know the resort and surrounding BC fairly well. Lookin to hike some big stuff if the conditions allow. Thanks in advance, Phil.

The Super 8 is still around $40 a night, that's where I always stay. As far as tickets go, I know they went to some colleges and sold six-day passes for $200, so that's what I got. Aside from that, I have no idea how you can get good deals up there.

Last year in jackson I spent one night here;

Haha word Caveman I like how you roll..... think maybe I just need to sack up and get ready to rough it a little for some of the best terrain in North America..... but until then the super 8 sounds good. :) Thanks guys, Phil.
