The Hood This Summer Thread

last week in june or first week in july, probably plan on skiing for 7 days and driving for 4.
 
I'll be there right after the Burton contest, best public park set up. Ill hopefully also be shredding Windells park.
 
retorn meniscuis and bad cartelige on my tibia.... i'm like an old person or some shit! haha. crutches for 6 weeks then i just need to get strong again :)
 
ah come on! you have no idea how stoked i was on that db train! atleast maybe we could chill if you can't ski by then ok? get better! the reason your cartilage doesn't heal fast, is because it has bad circulation. it would have been better for you to snap your leg in half or something because bone injuries heal a lot faster that cartilage injuries. FYI :)
 
^thanks dr. andy... i was actually aware.. haha. but the type of cartelige i'm getting worked on dosn't have the ability to regrow anyways. the only way that it might is if they were to hollow out a big piece of bone and put a plug in, then it might.... but it's not for sure.
 
meniscus's suck cock at healing... why havent they made artificial ones yet? To help healing, sometimes theyll drill small holes in your bones to help blood flow (think of your bone bleeding into the knee joint). But the downside...knee swells up like a mofo. They did that last time for me, had to get the knee drained 3 times... Good luck brah!
 
^they're drilling the holes for me... if it looks too bad thought, they're gonna take a bunch of bone out and plug it with artifical bone and i guess that is the only way to grow the same type of cartelige, but it doesn't always work.... surgery is tuesday!
 
^ they had to do that to my girlfriend...her body was rejecting her cadaver ACL and the bone was deteriorating around the screw spots, so they went in and put some artificial stuff in there... shes doing a lot better now though, so good luck man... knees suck

flying out to washington and then driving all over from there. and eventually driving home cause were hitting up stuff in Montana.
 
that would prolly work, thats how most people do it when they move out here... All you need is a grand and a car to start a new life!
 
Oh and drew, im not 100% i can/should go right now. I'm starting to realize that maybe I should skip a summer ski trip to get my knee 100% for next season. We'll see i guess. Right now when I'm skiing a-basin my shit is good for about 2-3 hours, then starts hurting... so spending $1000 on a ski trip if i cant ski every day might be a waste, ill keep you updated though. Are you coming out here or what? Gimme a call.
 
yea im plannin on headin to hood this summer, but im not sure of the dates, if anyone from the midwest is drivin down ill help with gas and shit, and supply some herb haha. id def rather drive then fly, just cuz it would be the sweetest 4 day roadie haha
 
yea dude, how much you thinkin gas will be? id totally be down for that, i just gotts get my skis mounted, and find some sort of spring/summer snowgear haha, but yea im about 80% down for that at the moment.
 
i hate SUV's, from colorado would be like 240 one way @ $4/gallon (which it is here in summit)
 
steve are you just up and quiting work and moving out there? thats what i did when i moved to CO. But I already had a job waiting for me.
