The Hitlist was probably one of my favorite movies of this year... and certainly up there with ski movies of any year.. Sickest segments (I think) :

-Hugo Harrison... the guy is a machine he lands everything so strong.. he doesn't bottom out on anything, he just destroys... personally I think this guy is the best big mountain rider out there... oh and some of the cliffs he drops rival some of Jamie Pierre's except Hugo sticks em' like it's his job..

- Pollard... the man is..... ahh the switchness...

-Andy Mahre... Personally I think this segment is way better than the one in War although i certainly enjoyed both... but yeah... I think they are flat spin 5's he's doing on the hit in whistler with the heli angles... it's damn amazing..

-Pep... the guy just kicks ass... he destroys this super sketchy line (he talks about it in the video) super clutch.. and all his backcountry booter shots... it's awsome..

- Abma... just plain kicks ass...

but everyone in the movie did a damn good job no complaints here...

yeah, and its the general ns opinion that msp is the devil and shits all over skiing. so now theyre sadly going to shit all over you.

i think skiing is fun and the hit list had a nice chill vibe... but i disagree about best, i still need to see teddy bear crisis thoguh.
 
Poor Shane. Again with the knees. Maybe it's time for him to retire so he doesn't need knee replacements in a couple of years...

Yeah great video. I liked it best of all the videos I've seen so far.

^ true it is is job.. lol but jamie pierre get paid too and he doesn't land he just hucks his meat and falls into the snow lands on his ass bounces up and skiis out.. granted I cant do that but Hugo takes it a step further he rolls off with mad style in the air and lands perfect and skiis out like it was no big deal.. and in his lines its awsome to watch him ski down and hit every one of the biggest "possible" features on that mountain. bottom line he's the man..
 
it depends on the size whether you can just "stomp it" or you nes-tea plunge. I mean shit over like 70-80 feet you cant land on your skis without taking a knee to the face or eating complete shit, if the landing isnt very steep anyway.
 
have you seen the hitlist.. although hugo did take a knee to the face on like and 80 footer he still landed so clean... I personally would rather watch people hittin 50 to 80 footers and landing them then watching pierre do his 160 footer or whatever it was in stimulous where he just skiied for like 2ft then fell on his back.. granted thats ballsey but why do you need skiis to do that why not just jump... I don't know I was just throughly impressed with hugo... and Pierre doesn't really tickle my fancy.. but I could be wrong.
 
Msp is gay, adn the premier hasn't come here yet but it will probably be a bad movie, even though thereis some solid riders, msp si still gay.
 
i just got hitlist and i agree, for big mtn skiing it was a rediculous movie -- and hugos part was insane

what the hell are you talking about have you read everything people have been saying on here about it.. who cares if you don't like msp if they put out a solid movie than enjoy it quit fuckin hating.. thats all people do on this site, were supposed to be a community of skiiers all about the same shit not fuckin hatin on each other and talkin mad shit about little things. enjoy life and quit being gay... ahh people like you piss me off.

Every other movie I've seen from this year so far has been better artistically, had better riding, and was overall more enjoyable than hit list (notwithstanding a couple segs). Although I haven't seen all of them. But it's looking good for hit list as far as candidate for "year's worst movie" goes in my books.

I still don't think it was as bad as yearbook, though, so that's something... they may not be improving much but at least MSP has stopped their freefall into shittiness. Or maybe they hit rock bottom last year.
 
PEOPLE LIKE U PISS ME OFF....do u even kno what msp does to other companys get ur facts srt8....msp is just slowmo there movie is like nice camera BUT MSP IS STILL AHH GAY....they sold out a company cause they made more moeny one year...MSP IS GAY
 
Julian...give me specific things about how MSP screwed over other companies, I am curious...and if you have nothing to back it up then you are just following the trend with everyone else
 
^ya they have....last year they ratted out wski 106 by telling the copyright people that c.r.'s part had footage from the movie top gun so they had to film their own footage which delayed their shipping date by quite a while. and i think that they fucked over level 1 at some point but im not sure.
 
Anyone who says "MSP SUCKS" or "SHIT LIST" are fucking dumbasses, the movie was sick.
 
They tried to buy alot of Level 1's riders so Level 1 would go out of business...and also Steve Winter was trying to make Wski106 under msp's name or something by offering money.

What the fuck REALLY YOU NEED COMMENTARY LIKE THIS IN A SKI MOVIE. I almost passed out three times waiting for the god damned athletes to quit describing skiing as an "indescribable feeling" shit, i know what skiing feels like, that's why i'm watching a movie, just show me a damn picture of it, and when you do that, show me something other than a 13 second rodeo five over the whistler hit from every athlete, i mean, one shot is cool, but we don't need five or six.

On a different note, Pollard and Rory's segments were dope nasty off the hizzle, other than that, the movie was gay like aids.

Ok, nobody knows the whole situation so everyone can quit talking. I don't like MSP because they are a stagnant company as far as showcasing progression goes.

How do we know level 1 would have gone out of business?

So what, they postponed WSKI106's ship date...oh dang. Seriously people, think for yourself. If you like them, like them. If you hate them, find something on YOUR OWN to hate on them for. I don't need Levin telling me what to think because I don't like Levin, so yeah. I'll see HIT LIST with an open mind, which is more than most of you can say. Tadow!
 
well first off I love MSP. But I thought hitlist was one of their weaker movies. It was similare to Ski movie two,but not as cool.And like I love to them throwing all the BC in it but it was border line warren miller. and they had allot of better skiers in their other movie,like no Tanner or Seth.But then again they had little to work with as last ski season sucked for snow.
 
the skiing definitely kicked some ass -- i think the crowded theater full of whooping and cheering skiers i watched it with agree
 
^word dude, the thing i think i loved most about the crowd at squaw is how everyone pees themself when davenport drops a good sized cliff and cartwheels out, but when Pollard guinie-piged that BC kicker with A FUCKING 0-SPIN my friend and I were the only ones going apeshit in the theater. I guess MSP has decided to cater more to the older crowd and i think that's why they're starting to look and sound suspiciously like warren miller movies to me.
 
MSP has a lot of money... so they get sick shots and lots of heli time... but who cares. I'd rather see a movie like Gemini from Staticfilms which has no comparable budget than see an MSP flick with a bunch of voice overs and boring big mountain stuff.
 
well... i guess i can be open now... i liked the trailer to it a lot, i loved the camera angles and slo mo from the helicopter... i have no basis for hating MSP, or loving them for that matter. but i loved the trailer, the shots were awesome. thats my objective answer.
 
has anyone else watched the hit list remix, it came with hit list but i liked it better - i think its the athletes edit of the movie

I dont know if this has been posted before and I really dont want to reed every post on the topic, but Steve Winter stoped WSK106 from using the top gun fotage for a good reason, Had this segment actualy contained the fotage from top gun (PBP did not have permision) Then PBP could have been sued for every penny they made off of WSK106 and not been able to make WAR this year. Steve Winter did this to save the distributing company which also distributs MSP movies. And for Steve trying to buy riders off level 1. he is just trying to get more great riders in his film, not stop Another company from competing with him. SO STOP HATING MSP FOR TRYING TO MAKE GRATE SKI MOVIES.
 
YES THANK YOU stop hatin on msp unless u have a valid reason to every one else at least this kid has a reason and is still going to watch the movie with an open mind thats the waty to do it no one knows if level 1 would have gone oyut of buisnessw and i doubt they ever would have plus what he did wasnt as bad as what everyone thinks it is it just started as something small and snowballed into something completely outrageos so as ryan said have a good reason dont just follow what everyone else thinks.
 
Yeah seriosly, some people are so fucking stupid, one person says "msp sucks" and all these dumbass 13 year olds follow.

Not true.

A more likely senario would be a cease and disist order filed on the film, which means the distributor and produces are allowed to sell off any remaining stock of their videos, but they aren't allowed to produce more with the copyright infringed material. The number of videos that get moved in action sports are so limited in comparison to major motion pictures or the volume of records a huges lables sell. Its not worth it for them to be going after such small time crap.

This has happened only once in the history of action sports movies, and it was David Bowie vs. the birdhouse movie "The End" They didn't get sued for every penny they made on the movie, and Bowie and his record lable they didn't go after pre-existing assets of Birdhouse.

They sold out the stock of the movie, and when they made their next run of videos the re-edited the segment with a different song.
 
Find something on your own to hate them for? WOW that makes a tonne of sense.

Here's some just to please you: how about their movies are bad. Their style hasnt changed since ski movie 1. Athelete voice overs are gay. Slow Motion on every shot sucks and gets boring. They use some of the SAME music from other ski movies. They bribe ski mag's to vote "best ski movie of the year" when it clearly is the worst ski movie of the year. I could go on but i have better things to do...
 
Except that they've done a whole hell of a lot of crap that should discourage people from supporting them, it goes waaaaay beyond a message left on someone's machine.
 
Except that he just explained why it wouldn't have affected how much money they made off that movie in any way whatsoever.
