hahah this reporter has been following him around since his famous video and apparently he's pretty talented

Wow who would've known talent was hidden in the passengers seat of a homicidal pedophiles car.

Not trying to hate but that wasn't that good in my opinion, his little solo at the end was nice other than that just a few simple cords and bar cords for the entire song, good rhythm and timing but other than that nothing to amazing

Yeah but it's an original song and I think he killed it. I agree it doesn't show any crazy guitar talent but it was good songwriting.

That was pretty impressive for being a 100% original song, but the guitar playing was really meh IMO. Nothing to write home about.

Still good though. I liked it.

inb4 he gets some sort of music deal and makes mad bank but donates a good chunk of it to charities. calling it now

actually he should just be entertainment for a cruise line, he'd get to travel like he does now but get paid for it, and in a better environment. win win

That was really fucking good, just a nice chill song to listen to after a long day. Who gives a fuck if he wasn't shredding on a guitar, I think it's better like this anyways. Less complicated.

I mean, all he did was strum a few barre chords.

Like I said, I enjoyed the song and he clearly has some talent, but come on. Let's not pretend like this guy just melted our brains with a dirty shred solo.

But I can still have an opinion right? I used to play a lot when I was younger HS age and the entire song was no more than 3 or 4 bar cords. Not terrible but nothing more than you can learn in 6 months or so with some instinctual music talents

common misconception, people who don't spend as much time with it will assume shredding a solo is harder than writing and structuring a good song. anyone can sit there for hours and practice scales and get that good, a lot of people try and write songs but only a few can actually pull off writing a really good song, and his was a lot better than most professional shit you hear out there and he's just doing it for fun

Common misconception? lolwat. Writing decent songs comes with practice, just as soloing/playing scales does. One is not necessarily easier/harder than the other, though I'd argue that the finesse and articulation required to shred ridiculous solos takes much more dedication and practice than coming up with a few chord progressions and some clever words on a piece of paper. Just because the guy came up with some creative lyrics and a catchy rhythm doesn't mean he's some guitar god. Anyone who's been playing the guitar for more than 10 minutes could strum along with his song. AGAIN, I have already said twice that I enjoyed the song, but the guy is certainly not the next Hendrix. His "solo" at the end of the video was pretty poor.
