The High - My Album (EARLY RELEASE FOR NS.COM!!!)

I want to thank everyone who dropped feedback on the other thread about my album, it sounds like a lot of you guys were really enthusiastic and wanted to have the songs available... so that's what I've done, exclusively first for NS.com! I've opened up shop @ soundclick.com and am currently using paypal for the songs... I would appreciate any kind of support possible, it's hard to continue making music when you have no food to fill your stomach. All funds will go right back into more studio time and equipment and improving my work... again I want to thank NS and all of its members for their enthusiasm!

Also, if you purchase the entire album, I will make sure to personally provide you with all the additional songs that are produced until the final release of the CD free of charge! I will also send the final disc through the mail for anyone who purchases the Online release of The High... along with any other small requests you may have... (do you want a signed pair of socks? I have plenty left over... :D)

nice beats. the thing i think i liked the most is u mixed up the tempo from song to song. i heard the first 2 and thought they'd all be slower, but then the 3rd was much faster and my favorite of all of them

wow. way better than i expected. tracks 2,3,4,5,6 and 9 were my favorites. i love the sound, original for sure-- has that older underground sound. i'll buy a copy for sure

It's better than itunes because this way you get mp3s instead of .m4as... which dont allow you to burn a certain amount of playlists and bla bla bla... all I ask is that you don't give away the whole cd on limewire... :) I need your support... !

You might have to explain your opinion a little more... Also, is it your job to go around Media & Arts to try and speak poorly of people's art... in one sentence phrases? ie:

"miserably cliche subject, cool presentation"

To everyone else... thank you for your support it does mean a lot to me. I soon will have shows here in Boston booked, so hopefully some people can come out to those once I release the date, and I will also be on the radio by the end of the summer. peace & 1 love

well the quality is all very good and it's obvious that you know what you're doing, however your subject matter and your rhymes don't impress me. there is nothing outstanding in it for me. you can do whatever you want and i respect your music and support your right to make it and feel good. however, i firmly believe that i have the right to critique something that doesn't move me.

concerning my brief responses, i feel that i should be very succinct and honest about my opinions because i don't want them to be all muddled up with extra stuff. however, i now realize, thanks to this experience, that it would probably be more helpful if i went into greater detail, so i will try to remedy that in the future for your sake and anyone else's sake.

i am an outright snob when it comes to art, and i understand that sometimes it offends people. i just think that i should say what i feel. my experience so far is that it's only going to offend somebody if they are insecure about it and that's not my fault.

since i am already explaining myself and you brought it up- my comment in the other thread about that guy's art was in the same train of thought as my comment in your thread.

frankly i find nothing impressive about pictures of ak 47's anymore, it's silly and passé. i want to see something more creative. however, i realy did like the way he put it together so i included that as well. as mentioned before i will also be more helpful and detailed next time.

creativity is a very difficult thing to control and i fully understand that and struggle with it myself. i really don't like most of things i have created but i use that sentiment to try and make something better.

i would love to see any progression in any art so i point out the things that i think need fixing. they don't have to agree and i won't be angry if they don't.

i am refraining to respond to your attack on my work because i found it a very immature and vindictive comment and i don't care what you think about it.

this is really not intended to be angry or condescending so please try to understand my point of view and be objective, as i have tried to be .

as for winnedpants, it is not an "attack" on your work. I merely used the same words you used to describe my music, to describe your video. Except that I have elaborated upon it... which you have still failed to do in several paragraphs... Also, I am not offended and in no way suggested that... I'm just trying to get you to elaborate on your criticism.

I'm definately feeling the flow for sure i've felt this is somehow a connection between son real lupe fiasco and tupac and certain times.....some people may look at my responce and not feel that same connection but that's what i feel. I think it's really dope but you just need that "pop" or "bang" to make it stand out....best of luck and keep the good music coming cuz obviously most people are really diggin it
 
Wow dude, I wasn't expecting this at all. Supernatural is my favorite.

You shouldn't rip on Wind though, not everyone's gonna like your music and that's the way it is. It's good shit, but it's also not perfect - it's better to have people dislike it so you can work on perfecting it than have everyone say it's amazing and stay at the same level because you have no motivation to improve.
 
So I really didn't know what to expect coming into the thread and clicking on the link, was I going to find the next best music I'd listen too, or was I going to find a piece of crap wannabe album. I clicked the link and was immediately impressed with the amount of songs and of course I clicked play on the first one "Move With It" and I can say I honestly fell in love with it, which is pretty much true with most of your songs, you can just feel like someone really put work into them which I like to see. I really like the flow of the beats as well, I can just sit here and nod my head at the computer and surf the internet or play Call of Duty and have a solid song to listen too...and finally I know this was alot to say, but I just want to say good luck I really hope things can take off for you and maybe sometime you will go on tour and visit Minnesota cause I'd love to see it live.

Scratch... I am glad you were not disappointed. I do plan on touring, however I am working hard at trying to build opportunities locally here in Boston first... again, thanks for the support!

tis sick. really like supernatural. ya shhould try to get this on itunes, though it not be as good or whatever, but that would be a much easier way for me to get it
 
Not really great idea to put it on iTunes yet... especially since Im not down with big companies taking money away from reinvesting in the music. Anyway, iTunes accounts require credit cards / bank accounts so I figure it wouldn't be any different to do it through paypal... except for having to pay for it. I will have it on iTunes soon once it is released however! Thanks :D
