Top 2 reasons this company will not make it:
1. 17m turn radius and smaller is all they offer and that is absolutely horrible.
2. 950 Euros equals roughly $1210 in US dollars, how do you like them now?
Shapes suck and it would almost be cheaper to build your own skis at those prices. You can get any Igneous ski for less than that and a Kingswood for just over half the price of a Hendryx.

1. In europe we have these sick taxes, so 900 euro is not that expensive. Its in the high end, but not that bad. Its stupid to buy this if you do not live in Europe.
2. They have been tested by many people, and they ride like heaven. They will rape the powder.

As to number 1 I am a bit confused, you mean to tell me that there are other skis that are this expensive in Europe? Wow you guys get raped over there. You can order Kingswoods for like half of that and they are for sure better skis.
As for number 3 I think you are confused. First off the JP Julien has a 38m radius and secondly that is my point that BC skis need a Much longer radius than this company offers. You can't ski straight on the groom let alone through crud on a 17m radius ski. Powder skis in general are 30m and up for a very good reason that Hendryx seems not to have realized. It is one thing to ake a random Crystal Ship style carving pow ski but to pidgeon hole your entire lineup in to that super niche category of people who just simply cant ski powder is a horrible move, that is all I am saying.
As for number 3 I think you are confused. First off the JP Julien has a 38m radius and secondly that is my point that BC skis need a Much longer radius than this company offers. this company should be ok. the guy making these has been working at it for year, not just these skis but working in the business for a long time now.
the skis maybe different, but for people looking for that they will be great. Do realize that Hendryx is really fitting a different business niche than Igneous, Capital, DP, Kingswood, and so on. Those skis are for people who like big turns, etc etc.
These will be for people who want a different, more turny custom-ish ski.
Do remember how few skis these guy produce too. Igneous produces about 100 skis a year maximum. The Kwood guys have only sold several hundred skis. This guy should have no selling 50 pairs a year.
DO remember he is a Sweden as well, so I am sure he will sell the majority of his skis there.

Seth Morrison skis on a much different ski than the Seth Vicious that K2 sells in stores. His are hand mase in Vashon and are not as soft or shaped as the ones you have seen.
As to the question of prices I am still a bit shocked, you mean to tell me that the starting price for skis in Europe is that much higher than here in the states? The B Squads for instance are at most $899 in stores here but generally can be bought for between 700-800 US dolars. 1050 Euros equates to 1337 US dollars. So you guys are just getting raped then or what? You can even get Igneous skis shipped to Europe for less than that, why would anyone in Europe buy from major brands if this is the case?

I just think if you're going to make that many models it would be cool for at least one of them to not be a slalom turning powder ski, would you agree with that? You know as well as anyone that sidecut and sharp edges are useless in powder anyway.
Don't get me wrong....my skis will have a turn radius of at least 30m, if not more. I really have no desire to ski on anything less than 30m, let alone 17m.
I just think that there is a niche for these super turny skis. They would be very fun in east coast trees.
Basically....I hope this guy stays alive because I know (from talking with him about making skis) he has a passion for it. Hopefully in the future he expands his models to ones that are a little more.......not turny? I hope that makes sense.....

I have heard this as well. Even though he always says he skis on the stock skis, I've talked with two K2 riders (one tele, one alpine) who have both said the skis he uses are not stock. One said that there was several different models with varying stiffness that he would use depending on the location and condition. After skiing the 189 SV, and over powering it so easily, it was no surprising that seth skis a non-stock ski.

I just think that you have a Kingswood ski up your ass. I would love to have a super turny ski in the pow...no offence, but if my line gets super sketch.....really fast, i want the ablility to handle it well. With a fucking huge turning radius im just going to have to try and ride it out and hope i don't die.
Super turny skis would come in handy in the pow....they may not be as stable, but they could help you out when you line turns to shit. Then again, i bought the line Prophet 130s.
