The happening

it came out today dude...chances are people haven't seen it yet because its one of those movies that usually isnt shown till its later

it looks fucking horrible..

Mark Wahlberg is one of my favorite actors, but from the previews it looks like he's terrible in the movie and the movie doesn't seem that interesting either.. the only reason I'd want to see it is to know what the fuck is killing people.

Completely!

It was a terrible fucking movie. There wasn't even a signature Shamylan twist. It was a static movie with TERRIBLE acting. Don't see this movie.

has shamylan ever had a good movie? at least since he got popular he been getting progressively worse. Sixth sense was pretty decent. Signs was alright, but from there, the village, lady in the water, ect, all blew. Ill rent at best.

i hear theres a scene in it when walberg is laying on the floor, feet up on a couch, and his jerks off and jizzs into his own mouth.

I saw it tonight with my girlfriend and another couple and I thought it was fine. I was entertained and whatever. Wouldn't see it again or anything, but i didn't feel like i wanted my money back. Until the very last scene. It made me lose all respect for MNS. This doesn't spoil anything or give away any plot points, but lets just say the last scene was SHOCKINGLY SIMILAR to the last scene in dawn of the dead. Those of you who have seen both films will know what i'm talking about. Way to be unoriginal MNS.

Son of a Bitch.

My favorite part of the trailer is how it tries to appeal to people by saying its his firs R rated movie. I mean if the movie is good, it they shouldnt be concerned with how its rated. O well, Im never going to see it, not my kind of movie.

it was pretty stupid

theres a pretty freaky old lady and some really weird parts but other than that i was pretty bored.

looks lame....the guy who makes those movies is not good. he needs to stop putting shit out. The sixth sense was good, but other than that i left his movies blue balled.

The VILLAGE come on!

fucking horrible. worst movie i have seen in a LONG time. the acting sucks, and the plot is overall dumb. nothing really happens, and it doesn't even have a twist. why it was rated R i have no clue, even less of a clue why they said it in every preview.

the best part was some fat lady told me she was gonna deck me for talking so i told her she is just pissed she couldn't use two seats to sit her fat ass in and had to use one. then she got one of the theater people so while she was gone my girlfriend scratched me and we told the guy she did it and she got thrown out. it was hilarious.

I saw it last night, thought there were some pretty cool parts. Its an interesting idea for how the world may end. Idk if id pay money to see it again but its worth the rent when it comes out for sure.

it sucked balls.

like when the jeep drove into the tree and the guy flew out....i couldn't stop laughing.

It was hilarious! Kind of like The Grudge. All the actors except maybe Marky Mark, his wife, and a crazy farmer who likes hotdogs, was horrible. John Leguizamo was, well...John Leguizamo, and extremely emo (you'll see). All the "shocking" parts were hilarious.

The best part when I went was when the red jeep crashes, the driver gets ejected, and the theatre was dead quiet, except for one black dude in the back corner who was like "OH HELL NO NIGGA WATCHU DOIN?!?!"

that was the only good part.

On a scale from 10 to The Grudge, I rate it The Grudge.5

yeah i didnt really like it, iguess it was entertaining, but there were so many parts that i really couldn't tell if they were supposed to be taken seroiusly or were just ridiculous and supposed to be funny, but people were killin themselves and i was geekin i kind of felt like an asshole

Interesting premise...2 of the most genuinely creepy shots I've ever seen...and the wooooorst dialog/delivery I've ever seen. Mark Wahlberg was so appalingly awful that I'm still not entirely sure that this wasn't a cheeky parody. The script was just god awful. Examples: "Why are you eyeing my lemon drink?" -uttered by a deadface serious old woman. "It appears that the event isn't happening 90 miles away." cue the mass exodus of a bar occupied by the stranded passengers of a train whom mysteriously have their vehicles in the parking lot of a bar in a town miles from where they live. "Think scientific douche bag!" -Wahlberg to himself in a crisis. And on, and on.

I just got back to it, the acting really sucked but it might have been intentional. The movie itself was so messed up, but the theater just had us and like 10 other people that kept on making really funny comments throughout the movie The last 20 mins are most definetly the scariest, but it ends in the traditional M. Knight Shamalan suckiness

WTF wahlberg? Are you serious? That was by far the worst acting I have ever seen. He was terrible. The whole idea is sorta cool, but other than that it was a huge letdown. I'm so disappointed.

I think it would be rad if 10 highly respected directors all made their own version of a movie; share just the script. Cinematography, cast, shooting location, etc. is all up to the director.

Yeah lol i noticed they were using the rating to promote it. (deep intense voice) In his FIRST R RATED FILM

I thought the commercial looked cool, but i guess the movie isnt :(

They always seem to advertise MNS movies as being great bacause they are MNS movies. Spielberg's movies arnt even advertised like that.

I know some people liked 6th sense, and it was alright. The plot twist was kinda cool, but its really been a swing and a miss since them.

The village is probably one of the movies I hate the most. Signs was fucking stupid.

I will give it to MNS though, he can make a damn good preview.

I would rather kill my dog then go see that movie again... The only saving grace was the hilarious comments being yelled out when the audience lost hope in the movie.

Yeah i really like the idea of it, it was a new take at how society could end.

the movie itself was really, really lame though...

I thought that the idea of the movie was really sick, but it was put together horribly. There is pretty much no suspense because you find out what is killing people pretty early. Some of the parts in the movie were not thought out at all either. Where the fuck did the cars come from? And how can people on one side of a field get infected and not the other side with a fuckin airborne virus? Stupid shit like that killed the movie.

-Good thoughts, horrible horrible delivery

Ok seriously one of the worst movies I've ever seen. What I'm wondering is why did Mark Wahlberg even agree to act in this movie. This movie completely disgraced his name as an actor. And Why does MNS insist on making horrible movies over and over again

MNS was bragging to the media about all the stuff he could do since it was rated R.....too bad it sucked, i mean seriously, it was a pathetic attempt at a suspense/horror movie...and the script and acting was terrible

the only thing that makes it not as bad is the scenes when the people kill themselfs, like with lawnmowers
