The Great Global Warming Swindle

even if humans aren't causing global warming, i still think the craze about it and trying to clean up our act is good for other aspects of the environment.
 
Although convincing at times, they seem to have their conclusion before their research. Kind of like the time were "scientists" try to prove that africans were less smarter than Europeans. Its a fallacy.

Few contradictions in part 2:

Measurements of CO2 in 10PPMs...we measure them in tons.

Environment friendly productions is a huge business, but the business only started a few years ago, research is independant and not governmently funded.

Those climatologist are supposed to be in minority...how come the majority agree we are somewhat of the human the cause of climate change.

I feel the documentary was poorly made, all it is about is people talking about how they disagree with the media.

We live in just one planet, we should take care of her like she takes care of us...we should point blame at anyone else but ourselves...why is it so hard to do????

 
thats my outlook on it. I dont think that global warming is our fault but the move to go green and conserve recources and clean up our water is good
 
I admit I didn't watch the whole thing, but the first two parts I watched really did not impress me. They spent most of their time saying that global warming caused by humans DOES NOT EXIST!!!! and way too little time backing up what they were saying. The graph showing that the temp decreased in the post war boom and increased in the recession of the '80s was such transparent propaganda. They seem to think that industry is like a reverse thermostat, and the second that you turn industry up, temperatures go down. Even if the correlation between those two was inverse, the effects would not be that immediate.

its nearly impossible to have an unbiased discussion about global warming
 
global warming is a myth... a lie from the government with the help of scientists as another means of mind control... to divert your thinking from the real problem and threat... which is them....
 
theres a reply vid to that, i think its called the great global warning swindle swindle or something, havent watched it yet but it apparently disproves some of the info, such as partially made up graphs etc. i saw it on demonoid, im sure its around somewhere...
 
Wow, so far I have yet to see any hard evidence. Although its not suprising, since advocates for human contribution dont have much either. While its good to get a counterpoint, these people seem more bent up about how its become a trendy cause rather than the actual data. I'm going to continue watching and see if it gets better, but so far... lacking substance.
 
I like how you used the word "disproving". Do you even find it slightly odd that 99% of reputable scientists in the world are convinced you're wrong about this? Regardless of your point of view, there will be some way to construe bits of evidence in a way that appears to support that perspective. That hardly amounts to proof.

the second i heard the narrator use the words "science" and "reason" I stopped watching. If climategate proved anything, it was that the global warming movement is anything but scientific and reasonable.
 
i dont see how you can 'destroy' that video... unless you just ignore the bit where he shows how that BS documentary basically ignores shitloads of data to try and make a point.
 
You and delphi need to stop acting as if the climate denier side doesnt have just as much, if not more, bullshit as the pro-climate change side.

Theres plenty of points in the video that i posted that are perfectly valid, and render the entire documentary to be completely bogus. If you make a documentary and have to lie and manipulate data to make a point (which both sides are doing) it isnt fucking valid... so stop pretending it is.
 
i dont recall saying that climate change isnt anthropogenic ever... so i dont see how i am admitting defeat and then saying the same thing...

youre being a complete hypocrite here and ignoring the evidence presented against the whole climate denial movement...

this thread is about the Great Global Warming Swindle documentary... i posted a video which proves the documentary to be full of shit... and then you ignore it and claim that "his other videos are stupid" pretty much, and then go on to personally attack me.

both sides of this debate have questionable motives... however, i am always going to side with the overwhelming majority of scientists who are experts on the matter.
 
oh i dont care enough to put the effort in. i just enjoy making my point and then ignoring what other people say. im not going to read your links or anything like that (hence the "inb4 you make the post you just made" bit i just posted before you posted this.)

However, the fact that i can point to plenty of examples of skeptics straight up lying and distorting data goes to show that their side of the argument is highly flawed also (if it wasnt, they wouldnt need to clutch at straws like they do).

Obviously im not saying that i know i am 100% right... however, when you look at a graph like this:

i really find it difficult to see how CO2 isnt directly related to temperature change.

this may be a claim, but i think i made one of the first first big debate threads on global warming when i was mad that it wouldnt snow a few years back, if this was the case i highly regret it.

anyways...

I still think this whole "scare"( if it is a scare ) wasnt such a bad thing. Now the whole concept of being "green" is much more out there and there are tons of energy efficent and eco friendly choices out there.

Even if we arent responsible for global warming, we should still look and build towards a more enviormently friendly future and renewable resources. No matter what side of this "debate" you are on i think most can agree with this.
 
So you are saying that you don't care enough to take into consideration to what other people say? Well that is rather unfortunate for you. Just because you believe in something doesn't mean you shouldn't question it and look at the possibility of being wrong. I can honestly say that I have looked at the other side of the argument, that global warming is real/man made, and I keep coming back to the conclusion that man made climate change is a bunch of BS. So why don't you just think about the possibility of being wrong and at least consider the other side? I know I can't force you to, but jeez, it is pretty sad that you are that stubborn/closed minded. I mean I have my views for a reason, and that is all the more reason to have an intelligent/reasoned conversation about them with some one that disagrees. By saying that you ignore/don't care about what other people say, you really just took away any validity that your previous statements may have had.

And as for your chart, really? Did you know that Al Gore tried that same trick in "an Inconvenient Truth" and got called out on it? I mean did you even watch The Great Global Warming Swindle and see the part where they prove that those graphs are full of crap? Of course you didn't because you don't care about what anyone else has to say. When you "zoom in" on that graph and show it on a smaller more detailed scale, you can see that in every case of temp and CO2 rising, the temp rises hundreds of years before the CO2. Yes CO2 actually went up BECAUSE of a temperature increase.
