The Grand Tour of New England Skiing.

Hey guys,This winter, I have decided that I am going to hit every 'major' mountain in New England, in one season. I figure that this will probably be my last winter I will have the chance to do this before I end up with a real full time job, and I might as well abuse the ski-instructor reciprocity program we have out here anyway.

Here is my list so far.

Ive been thinking of doing something like that. For sure I am going to do a Summit picture at every mountain, maybe Ill make a little NewSchoolers cardboard thing to hold up at all the summits. I will probably do a GoPro series of POV footage of the hardest trail available at each of the mountains as well.

Again though, this isnt going to be of every mountain in New England, just the 'major' ones, thats why there are no MA mountains on the list. Even with my large quantity of free time, and near free skiing at most of them, I dont think I could do them all if I included the very small mountains as well.

Hell yes! I will totally lug that around! Also is there any kind of blog functionality here, or will I have to host on like, wordpress or some shit?

Oh perfect, I didnt realize anyone could publish to that, I thought it had to be approved or something. So how abouts do I get a NS flag? Is this going to be something available on the store?

Most of the MA mountains I posted are just as well known if not more than some of the smaller ones you posted from NH. If youre going to do a true grand tour of new england you should at least hit one in MA

Alright, I suppose I can make one in MA happen. Alot of these are based on where I can get into for free with the instructors reciprocity program.

Whiteface, NY is pretty major, is it not? Shouldn't be too hard to get there when you're in VT

the real question is, can NS come through for you enough that you can stay at some of the more far drives for a night with NS members.

Being from RI, I can tell you that RI only has one ski area, and it can't even be called a mountain. It's more like a hill.

Yay, I think one of the greatest things of newschoolers is the ability to meet new people with common interests. This would just make it that much easier to truly connect with these people in person while experiencing new places. Probably should have some rules in it though like 18+ hahahha

I've crashed on a few NS'ers couches in the past and I probably have a friend near every major resort out west that would be willing to let me crash if I was to hit them up. I would be all for this

maybe get across the border into quebec for a foreign ski adventure while you're filming your web series which you are doing.

If you make it to Quebec you're more than welcome to crash at the NS office (rent per night is a case of beer) and we can all go shred!

Good god yes. Im looking for a couch in Summit county (HIT ME UP), but i dont want to make a SG thread, and regionals are so dead theres no point. Couch/ride forum would be SO great. Even just to find carpools regularly to your local hill.

The flag should be large so that he can stick the pole down the back of his coat and ski with the flag waving behind him. That would be the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen

Oh wow, I am amazed at the outpouring of support here, I am really going to have to put something major together for this article, what would yall like to see in it? Any requests or ideas? I really hope my reciprocity pass can make most of this happen. Whats the big mountain up near Quebec? Mont-Tremblant right?

Also with the flag, a nice like 8 1/2 by 11 or so would probably work well, big enough to be seen, small enough to carry in the jacket.

Hey Mousseau, you know what else would work instead of a flag? A pair of those J x Newschoolers collab skis! Ill put those bitches in every shot! *Grins Evilly*

Been living on the East Coast my whole life, and you made an almost perfect list. I would include (but its not a must-go) Shawnee Peak in Bridgton, Maine, if you want a local hill feel with some good vibes. And if you want to include all of New England, swing by Jiminy Peak in MA for great pitch.

Don't forget Smuggs. And if you're going to count Mad River as norther vt you may as well count Sugarbush too, which is on the same level as those places
