The golden days of newschoolers...

well i was on and reading shit for most of 2003 but didnt join till november. if you consider those the goldendays then they were pretty sweet. i never went in the nsg and the sg was by far the most popular forum. the whole newschool scene was new to me soo it seemed super sweet. i liked it
 
Haha, I remember that picture ended up on some porn site someone posted, too. Wow, I can't believe I've been on this site for about 10 years. God damn.
 
Look at the dates-2006, and people were already complaining about most of the same things that people do now.

I remember the golden days. I didn't post because I was young, but I was there.
 
I've been here since 03, my original ns name was Campochampskid, and to be honest, thread content was exactly the same back then. I don't know where this idea of a non-hate filled NS came from, because it was was pretty similar in 03. I can speak for 02 though.
 
Yeah at first I thought it was another of these regular nostalgic threads, then looked at the date... I think it's just that the novelty of NS is lost over time for every member. Like I haven't been here long (2007 I think) but I felt like those were better times than now.
Just gotta enjoy the site and the fact that all these people are skiers.
 
Ok maybe novelty was the wrong word... I meant the "new" exciting feeling of being one of the only skiers in your town/school/whatever that knows what a twin tip is to suddenly being surrounded by hundreds of them.
I remember being stoked on the mountain if I saw anyone else with twintips, now I kinda take it for granted because I'm so used to it. Everyone has that initial stoke on the newschool scene, and after a while once you understand it so well it turns into something else. Same with newschoolers. And once the awe wears off you notice the hate more and more.
 
the past is always smiled upon, I don't remember it being that much different from now. There was way more hate in the video section in 2003.
 
I also remember being a guest at this point and being witness to the epitome of what a website should be.
 
when i joined in 02 it was so much better to browse. theres too much bullshit and stupid claims on the forums now its pretty lame to read. i think it was just a smaller/tighter knit community at the time cause there were left people. or maybe its that im older now and dont want to deal with the stupid stuff on here
