was i there in the golden days? i think i was a n00b when the golden days were just ending, january 13th, 2004. was i here on time?!
 
to be honest it was the exact same thing, granted a few less retarted posts they were relativley the same...harvey posted, everyone knew him, he knew everyone, but still post content was about the same, it was just smaller, now theres more people, so theres more stupid posts.
 
Golden days = 2001-2003 probably. I can't say i was around for it, too bad so sad.
 
i would say that i was here for the very end of the golden days, but unfortunatelly more of a spectator than a participant
 
When did I join? Becuase whenever that was was even after them. I remember when I joined it was so much better than it is now, I guess just a more intelligent generation populated the site and there were more posts that had a point to them rather than useless gabber from people trying to make their post count jump.
 
God, i remember the good old days, back before i was a member and i would just log in as a guest and mull around reading the hilarious posts of Lat, Toliet and Mommy. I learned so much about skiing back then, and yes there were unicorns thousands of them.
 
i can say i was around ..but think about this...in about 7 years will we be saying "remember the golden years of ns back around 05-09? yeah those were the days" and all the noobs saying "i wish i was there"
 
hahahaha thats semi true, the golden years ended for me last winter when NS was invaded by n00bs/ mods
 
toilet and mommy were was after then....AND IT WAS EXACTLY THE SAME AS IT IS NOW....the posts were retarted, the people were retarted, now its just more people, and more posts, so it looks worse, but post whoring and stupid viedeo still existed, and the 13 year olds asking for girl advice were still there, yea i come on this site onc ein a while, but at least i can say the forums, especially non-ski gabber, are a waste of internet space...

I'd say that right now we're going through a sort of renaissance. Look at how much the site has changed, new design, more content, better design, and just overall more stuff. I think it's getting better and better. All the talk about how NS was so much better has been going on since I joined 4 years ago.

I was here for two site changes, i cant even remember what the first one looked like, but i know i miss quickchat.

ah yes, back in the day. NS had waaaaay less activity in the forums back then, simply because when i joined there were just under 7000 members. the site also looked totally different. it was almost all royal blue, and way more simply styled. there was also only one section for photos and videos, no jump or rail or edit divisions. you also gained posts for post in videos and photos. cults also didnt exist back then. and there was pretty much no hating. NS radio was also not around, but despite not having alot of the nice things that we have now, the simplicity and lack of noobs made it great.
 
back when me and stevie were noobs were certainly the good old days, when there were never more than 20 people online, everyone knew everyone and knew everything about them, skiing was still cool, people respected each other and the highest post count on the leader board was less than 2,000. There was the race to get the 100,000th post on the message board, there was us teaching cedric how to speak english - and most of you won't even know who he is now...

...they were good times, but they still definitely live on, in certain hidden away parts of the site, they're still there and they're still fun...

exactly, Id have to say when i first joined was the best time but the good times live on.

The best time in a sport or in this case website is always five years ago..........
 
thats what im thinking too, i think it jsut comes with the territory, because the bigger something gets its obviously harder to keep really good the whole time
 
i barely cuaght the end of them, back when i first joined it was in like 2003 that was a different acount tho, and i had no idea what the forums were so i guess i kinda missed out a little
