"The game that blew your mind" thread

I don't know if this thread is already made because I'm to lazy to do some reasearch about this subject and I am a lazy compiled shit....

But as the title says, what game blew your mind and why?

For me, it has to be DotA2, Fallout3 and all of the Halo games.

DotA2: The game taught me russian, how to enjoy myself while raging like a 14 years old teenage girl who didn't get a macbook for christmas, gave me anxiety and depression problems... "11/10" - IGN

Fallout 3: The game is just wow and you can kill shit with A.Lincoln's rifle and in his suit AND you can explore a post-apocalyptic D.C in a fucking power armor...? HOLY SHIT

Halo: "John and Cortana", that's all I have to say.

So please NS, tell me: "WHAT GAME/S BLEW YOUR MIND AWAY AND WHY?

But actually, Fallout 3. Probably the best game i have ever played.
 
Original DoTA, Counter-Strike 1.6, and WoW. And Starcraft

Im still playing each (current day versions)

Taught me how many hours in the week I have available just to play videogames. After 4,000 in Counter-Strike (1 of 4 accounts) and hundreds in WoW. DoTA I never tracked until the new one, and im still low.

But

CS- Competiveness, Mod Community, introduction to E-Sports

WoW- Being sucked in for 2-3 day binges, and the experience of coordinated raiding

DoTA 2 - Just the sheer joy I get out of totally running over another time, and then the absolute depression of loosing multiple games in a row, uninstalling, and then reinstalling the next day

Starcraft 2 - The sheer brillance of strategy at a pro level, along with spending hours in a gaming cafe training with an old broodwar pro
 
the first modern warfare, bioshock and bioshock infinite, ocarina of time, WoW, Starcraft, super smash bros 64

Really though, I don't play video games and never really have. Every once and a while at a friends place, but nothing more.
 
Quake III Arena. Freeze tag mod with the lazer gun. That game was amazeballs. Grappling around the map flying off the walls. One of the most fun games I've ever played.

that game as amazing. and imagine it on a next gen system?

fuckin boners everywhere.

but as for more modern games, the last of us is just unreal.

its perfect, there is no other way to describe it.
 
Bioshock one was a pretty huge one, but mostly I love RPGs like Fallout 3 & NV, Skyrim, both Borderlands and whatever else.

Still, most of my time gaming these days is spent playing Smash Bros Brawl with the boys, or beating old Zelda and Mario games.

Also, I would've never bought my Xbox 360 if it were not for Halo 3. That game was a masterpiece.
