The Frostgun 2012 big air is HUGE

its cos its built on an almost flat piste and from the angle its set up it looks like the run in is from the blue piste which leads down to there (may be wrong about this, but from having skied there thats what it seems like.)

I have a feeling that this jump may produce floaty, stylish dubs that I actually enjoy.

Oh and I want to see really big, slow, weird rotations and axes.

So many Axes will be thrown

I hope this will give us what those pussy ass bitches at x-games couldnt. looking back on it i still dont understand how espn was retarded enough to think that was a good jump

Reports from VT suggest it's the biggest thing that's ever been built ever in the world ever.

Shame Woodsy couldn't make it in the end but looking forward to seeing what gets thrown.

lololol lost. this looks absolutely insane though, looks like any speed checking at all will fuck your jump up

If the riders can't get enough speed they should seriously consider wearing tighter clothes. Helps soooo much

the take off wedge is huge and scary but there is no way that jump is 100'. it does not seem very big if you are comfortable with taking off 60 feet in the air

Henrik Harlaut and Oscar Scherlin talks about Frostgun Invitational 2012.

maybe but the airtime is not as big as the one from the alyeska 120ft jump(or something like that)

Snowmobiles have speedometers...

Can't someone do some cocktail napkin math and just figure out how fast you need to go to hit jumps this big? I know action sports athletes aren't always known for their intellect, but I imagine a bunch of them have taken at least high school physics.

I know if I was hitting a jump that big, I'd be crunching some fucking numbers.

hahaha henrik taking goggle sag to a whole new level. interesting to see oscar riding for pepsi. About time the big corporations start sponsoring athlete's.

Unless you've managed a world class park like Breck, Keystone, Whistler, PC, Mammoth, or something along those lines, I'm going to go ahead and say that him being a pro skier probably warrants him a little more experience in this field. Thus making you the moron.

Went down today in Val T, real fun to watch. Landing was shortened a bit after lots of people knuckling it yesterday, still huge though.
Winner was Kai Mahler, doing sick dub 12 shiftys all day, 2nd was Eric Schuler who threw a dub 16 true tail in the semi final! both of them 16 years old from switzerland. . .
Henshaw was 3rd, did the whole comp unnatural - dub 12 double grabs, and Henrik was 4th, threw some sick bio 12 blunts, and so nearly stuck a double flatspin 14. Great comp, i'm sure someone will post vids up soon.
