Anybody else see this movie? Who here understood the plot? I've watched it about 6 times and I'm still a little bit confused.

seen it, it was okay. i know that when you watch it, it attempts to make you think that it is supposed to be a confusing movie, but if you look at it for what it really is, you'll understand. it's simply three different stories of three different men(played by the same actor) who find the fountain of youth. one uses it out of greed, one uses it to share its wealth, and one journeys with it to the end.

it was interesting, but the plot wasn't as involving as it pretends to be.

some stories are just plain weird, and a lot of them have flaws (case in point, after the ball everything that made cinderella look like a princess disappeared, EXCEPT that one glass slipper, for some strange reason). i don't think that the movie accurately depicted his death, therefore leading me to believe that he did not die. not that it matters haha. maybe wikipedia will be more useful.

both the futuristic and spanish conquistadors scenes are fictional, they are part of the novel that his wife is writing, which also ties into the modern day scenes which are supposed to be real. the movie flips between reality and those stories which makes it confusing.

The movie is a contemplation on death; and it is one of the better movies that meditates on this subject.
