my first was like four years ago at watervilles snowskate park on a pvc pipe imbedded in the snow...it took like ten tries until i go it, the next day i tried a 20 foot flat bar that was like 3 and a half feet out of the ground and i didnt fall and stuck like my fifteenth try...i was pumped

my first rail was at shawnee peak in maine, everything is solid ice, i by accident spun off a rail witout meaning to hit my chest center on and snaped my ski

I'm sure all of Atlantaski's best tricks are done on the chairlift

my first rail was actually a snowmaking pipe in the woods cause my mountian didnt have a park...I just kept doing it sliding a couple of ft more, and I got it pretty quickly.

the first rail I tried was a flat rail about 15 feet. I fell backwards right onto the rail as soon as I got onto it. I had a bruise 6in across on my leg and you can still feel a little hole in my leg where I fell on it.

it took me a couple of tries my first time, but once you commit, its a cake walk. I do remember however my first time trying a flat down flat (it was a homemade rail), i caught an edge right before the down, and came very close to smashing my head into the rail, but i caught myself, and the next time through I "greased" it

i tried my first rail at okemo and i had never skied with any one good so i was watching this kid doing butters on and i asumed that i could just snow plow in...didnt try again for a while

somtimes you just got to take off your pants and slide on the ice

haha " i had a great teacher" hmmmm

i always wondered what those metal things were for. i just go of the sides of the jumps. if these so called "rails" werent in the way i would go straight of of the jumps and probably be able to get way more air.

me tommyd and daaidle decided to do rails at okemo at like 4 when everyone was leaving and the smallest one therre was a rainbow box-rail-box thing i got it 3rd try with hawk steeze and claimed it......then i tried the log rail and died after i caught an edge. epic is the only word to describe the sesshhh

KEEP YOU'RE TIPS UP SKY......

i would always screw around on pipes i'd find on the side of runs. but 4 years ago, the first actual rail i tried was a flatbar at fortune. i was in my tony hawk-ish video game phase at the time, and just expected to be turned sideways on the rail automatically like they do in video games. well, i still have a lump on my nut from that one. not to mention that experience was a real motivator to slide rails well after that, rather than just be lazy or scared about it. so i'm almost glad it happened.

i hit a 10 ft pvc and was so far backseat that i hockeystopped and got off halfway

i also started learning unnatty cause i had no idea what i was doing

no ones as good as me, they just got better marketing schemes

it was christmas eve my 1st time skiing, i switched from snowboarding, it was a down doghouse box left from from a rail jam, i hit it felll back, my helmate came off when i hit the ice i had a huge cut on my face the whole holiday saeson w/ my family making fun of me every time i saw them

i dont want to jinx myself, but i have never had a problem falling back on rails...its always toe side or heel side....anyway, the first time i tried a rail it was a tiny 10ft in the ground flat bar and i greased it on like the 3rd try

first was on a backyard 7 footer like 2 ft high, i kept spinning to hard on and fallon off, finally got it after like 10 fuckin tries

i only turned 45 so my skis flew out under me, but the setup was so crappy and the weathger was horrible(blizzard) that i just skied some 4 inch deep powder on the sids of the slopes

my first rail was prob a 8ft flat rail that was 5inches wide and the first time i got across most of it and just dropped off the side.

at whistler, it was a log with a metal bar drilled into it, I kept my legs too close together and i slid on really slow and fell backwards

Mine was that first box in snowbird's park. There was a little gap from the kicker to the bow, so I went way too fast, just to make sure i cleared it. Had my skis way too close together, and landed at the end of the box, and slipped out on contact. Fell a good 6 feet nearly on my head. Felt good

I've done lots of krisi leskinen slides on boxes but My first rail was the Bike Rack at canyon, I didn't commit first time so I slid it for a tiny bit then fell off with it between my legs, I got it a few tries after.
