So, I am sitting at my computer right now, tired as fuck but wanting to write a review thats does high 5 justice. I think high 5 has done something i dont think any ski movie has captured yet... Berman made a movie that captured the essence of freeskiing. it looked like soo much fun to make, and from that it is extremely fun to watch. Not one company has mad a feel good ski movie prior to High 5. I wanted so badly to have a ski movie like lame... and by far high 5 is that equal. It just seems like they did some of the things that some other companies were afraid to do: high 5s are given everywhere, they showed skating that other companies might hav been afraid to show because they wanted to make a 'core' freeskiing movie, they do gay ass 80s ski tricks, and the skiers arent afraid to have some fun... Now to answer a previous post's question to what movie would i show to a snowboarder on to represent our sport it would mos def be high 5... high 5 makes it ok for me to show off the progression of our sport

Yeah I am going to have to agree wiht you here. The movie is super good. If anyone hasn't ordered it yet you should definately do it. It has a TON of extra shit. Like x has UP1, High 5 has BOOYA!, which showcases all the people who only got into the friends type section. They also have a long ass straight ski porn seg that is just all the extra footage it seems like.

Here is my review of High 5 itself though:

Gagnier kills it with the sickest grabs that noone else is really throwing, all while going all four ways. Redd puts a serious bid for best up and comer of the year. Chricton's seg is short, but it seems like his has a lot of fun filming it. Both Steele and Van Valin have a ton of interesting back country shit. Austin Ramaley and Corey Vanular both show how well rounded they are by spinning boht ways and grabbing everything. Dumont shows he can kill it on urban shit. All and all it was a great movie and well worth the money.

everytime i watch afterbang or lame i feel happy. Robotfood does the best for a feel good movie, if any ski company wants to make one follow robotfood, they set the path to enlightenment

I am a huge fan of the robots, but this movie is nothing like anything they have done. It is very unique in it's own right. Just watch it. I forgot LDowney has a short segment because he broke his ankle but he throws this loop w/ a critical off a backcountry booter that is just ridiculously stylie.

ya, my favorite part about high 5 was the feel good side of it. they finally stopped taking themselves so seriously
