With everything happening in the news hurricanes, wars, tax cuts, the dollar, gas prices and much more do you think this could be the start of the finish of the U.S empire that seems to be on top of the world rite now ? it wouldn't be the first time at all tat this has happened to a country that has dominated the world socially and economically. Just an idea.

America is now not viewed as the empire that it once was, people are starting to realize that we arent perfect. but as a world we are working together a lot better through diplomacy so there have not been any huge international problems to show our weaknesses like there had been in the past. i love this country but im glad that our role as international police is ending.and^ yeah we have made some bad decisions on presidents in the past but at least he cant run again.

 
we are sure in for some shit, I think we can pull through but things are awful bleak right now, It crazy super gas prices, war and all of what that guy said ^ up there. yes we have made it through some large wars and bigger problems and no one has it all figured out but have we ever had countries at the same power level as us, no and China is there, japan is almost and a lot of other countries are progressing very rapidly towards the "status" that we used to hold.

 
it'll just make us progress faster due to the competition. and if we don't, who cares. although it will force us to change our ways and get new allies/enemies. But maybe it'll all end up for the better. Who knows.

yahh, I'm pretty sure after a hurricane in one state and a war thats almost over, the US will be fine. And tax cuts? They're suppose to create more jobs, and thus raise the status of the economy.

dynasty cycle...what? Sure a couple superpowers fell in the past...due to WORLD WAR II. And china next? no, Hong Kong is probably the most free city in the world, economically. The US isn't actually that sweet, we're ranked like number 12 in the world in terms of economic freedom, we kind of have a problem with fucking over the poor. First is Singapore.

china and india? are you fuckin serious? anyway if america is a "falling empire" (which is rediculous because we are still the worlds only superpower and we are definately not an empire) my guess for the next superpower would be japan because of their massive amount of technology but you also have to consider their limited resources and military because of treaties that they signed after world war II

the cost of labor is so cheap because these countries have extremely shitty economies. American businesses will pay the people in these countries next to nothing which they except because they would get paid even less to work other jobs in their country. Plus china is one of the last remaining communist nations and the quality of life is terrible because of the socialist system that is in place there

 
^actually i went to china about 6 months ago and quality of life is damn near as good as ours. they have there ghettos like us, they have there nice areas like us and there economy has been steadily growing unlike ours which has been staggering, so plleeeeeaaaasssee dont talk about what you dont know.

damn xxxscratchxxx you are pissed off. but anyways i don't think the us will fall anytime soon, but i think it eventually will. look at how our country was founded, it was because britain expanded over to the east coast of what is now America. They were so far away that they formed their own colonies and eventually branched off of british rule because of thier laws and taxes. what are we doing now? we are over in Iraq with tons of troops, granted we are not forming our own colonies, but when we go into all these other countries trying to do what we think is right whether or not it truly is, is a downfall, expansion always brings to the taking down of countries
