The Fall of a Legend R.I.P Doug Coombs

One of the greatest skiers of all time recently passed away in a fall in Europe. He has made skiing what it is today. He impacted you whether you know it or not. So next time you go skiing take a run for all of the fallen legends of our sport.
 
since i am stuck filming, i dedicae all of the photo shots and video i take to teddy knape and doug coombs
 
he was a great skier and had a HUGE impac on the skiing world, he will be sadly missed. rest in peace man.
 
Basically, from what I read: Traversing out of a couloir in La Grave (Slide danger 2 out of 5) and shit started sliding. Doug was one of (if not) the biggest- Big Mountain pioneer and had a huge impact on Alaskan Heli Skiing (Valdez Heli Guides), and skied a lot with Seth Morrison. Good luck to his wife and young son (may he someday continue the Coombs legacy).
