The end is near

what the hell are you talking about? Armada is one of the top ski companies in the industry, they wouldnt just "go under".

X Games are dead, no one gives a shit about it anymore.

I think its a change for the best.

All of you bitching are fools, the less exposure the more we have skiing to ourselves without it becoming saturated.

There will still be the US Open and other events for true skiers to watch and enjoy, fuck the general public, let them watch their snowboarding and go ride the park in their clip in bindings.

espn was def. not bought out by the nhl. and i dont believe any of these rumors freeskiing is becoming way too popular to have it be canceled in the xgames. US open and Aspen open wont be canceled either. VTO sucks so I see that going down. Armada is not going under cause they have Tanner. These rumors are all fuckin stupid and I wont believe one iota of anything until I see some credible sources behind these fabricated claims

Yeh the JOI is done under that name. Next year is gonna be a comp or something run by Jon but just not his invitational.

theres still candide invitational, xgames (the rumors of its demise are not true), ski tour with more stops, wsi, vt/us open and plenty more. just because one event is canceled doesnt mean its the end of skiing or that another event cant start

A lot of bullshit, either way I dont give a shit.

Comps arent where skiing is going if you ask me. Somebody name the last amazingly progressive thing that was first thrown down because of a comp, and I'll delete my account.

its all bull shit but who cares we dont ski to watch pros go insane

just go ski with your friends and have a good time

the only reason they would be cancelled is if there is not enough interest which then puts it on us not the ski industry
