rumors have been flying that all these comps are ending this or next year... wtf.

i thihnk jons gonna throw a new event and also x games may still go on but ESPN was bought out by fricken NHL. I hope orage isnt really done and WHY ASPEN OPEN WHYYY?
 
i wouldnt be too effected. i obviously love watching shit like that but its not like ill ever go to any of them. that would still suck prostate tho
 
JOI - Gone..... Bigger comp instead? Yes.

The only one I heard about and even come close to believing is VTOpen. Oh well, there's enough comps to make up for it's absense.
 
as long as everyone still sticks with skiing, it wont turn into rollerblading. rollerblading died because rollerbladers decided they would jump ship, as skateboarders had branded it uncool
 
i really dont care that much big mountain is like 10 times more fun anyways and park will just be a another fun place to ski. oh and vto is cancelled for next year also cuz of the train this year
 
orage cancelled this years masters comp so they could have extra resources to make next years insane...or so i hear
 
this sucks...all these comps are cancelled, keystone is taking out their park, and Armada and 4frnt are going under. this is weak
 
Hey the Ski Tour is going to have more stops so I'd say with the end of some comps comes the creation of more comps.
 
i dont believe much of it. perhaps the JOI, but i really doubt freeskiing will be taken out of the xgames, armada and 4frnt are going under, us open is cancelled, etc, etc...
 
eh i heard rumors of 4FRNT going under for a while now, and i highly doubt that armada is. i mean every rich gaper has to get armada's...
 
Sooooo many speculative/inventive/untrue rumors floating around in this thread with nothing to back them up. Delete it.
 
I don't understand. Where does it say that JOI is done? All it says on his site is "Thanks for three fantastic years!" That doesn't mean there won't be more...
 
JOI in Sweden is done...Its coming to the US next season...and the X games can't go on with out tanner...who would they give 1st place to? Clearly without tanner X games is over because Simon should have won this year they just feel obligated to give it to tanner.
 
JOI was three year series..Jon made it clear that there were three and then there would be no more
 
it isn't.

snowboarding is. men's pipe.

or snowmobiling.

and shaun white.

skiing used to close the event...not anymore...mens snowboard pipe has taken it over as of last year. skiing at X is out the door in the next two years.
