THE ELECTION!

So, a European article stated that the choice has been laid out for the Americans:

Chose Bush at the election to send the message to Europe that we are too different to agree on international politics.

or

Choose Kerry to try to reinforce, or rebuild you might say, the relationship between Europe and the U.S, which has been so badly dammaged during the last couple of years.

Apparently, according to analysts, choosing Bush at the election will create a great distance between our cultures and, in Europe, set the US aside as 'The others'. Polls show that 90% of the western European population want the US Citizens to elect Kerry.

And another entriguing (And for my part, releiving) fact is the fact that US polls show, that for the first time in history since the post-vietnam war period, US Citizens rate the importance of international aspects of the political campaign more importantly than the national-economic aspects.

What about you? What is more important to you, and what is your choice?

since having Europe like us is soooooooooooooooooooooooooomuch more important than protecting our country and defeating terrorism.

and having Kerry in office would trigger hundreds of thousands of simultaneous terrorist attacks leading to the destruction of America as we know it today, because Kerry is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo totally french

noooooooooooooooooooooooo, it just makes sense to have someone in office who is strong in defense, like Bush. Don't beleve all those Kerry, Edawards-A stronger America, bumber stickers you see. Bush is preventing terrorist attacks, while Kerry says that we will wait for them and then kill the terrorists.

Yeah, Bush is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo strong in defense even though he's never been involved in any wars, and Kerry is gonna be a pussy because after his experience in vietnam he knows that war sucks and that it should only be a last resort

Um... which terrorist attacks has Bush prevented, then?

And come on... it's not like he wears a cape and travels around the world fighting the forces of evil! He's the president, for godsakes! He isn't the one that's single-handedly preventing terrorist attacks, no matter what the Bush ads say.

Ice-is-scary how can you say that????? Thats the typical american attitude that makes people dislike the US. International relations should be a prime consideration when it comes to choosing the next president. I can definitly say that a huge proportion of the UK thinks that what bush has done with america and their international reputaion is unbelievable. He appears so stupid and war hungry thats its quite scary that american is even considering reelecting him!!!!!

I just cant believe that anyone would vote for him!!!!! Its rediculous.

I am going to vote for the person who is best for America, and not for Europe. I do not have Europe's best interests at heart because I don't need too, that is ya'lls problem and not ours.

And what terrorist attacks has Bush prevented, thats like asking a condom how many STDs it has saved you from. Think, if their is a prevented terrorist attack then it would not happen, and thusly you would not hear about it. The bottom line is that there has not been on attack on us since Sept. 11 and even though more people hate us. So, if terrorist enrollment or whatever has gone up but they aren't able to attack us then it doesn't really matter.

I wouldn't want to elect a president who put domestic issues ahead of national security and defense, because if we are not safe and dying then healthcare and jobs don't matter at all.

^I agree with you 100%

Bush has prevented a ton of attacks, we just don't hear about them because they never happened. If you cant figure that one out, then well, you shouldnt be voting.

bush is fucking boring, all he did for the past 4 years was talk about terrorism and shit, bush already had his term so now its time for someone new, i mean why vote for the same dude twice, you gotta try new things and kerry can do just as good a job as bush! besides bush takes so many fucking vacation days that his advisors do all the 'terror preventing' bull shit! so fuck bush

'fuck park, skate city'

To say you don't care about the US - European relationship is to reveal the fact that you know absolutely NOTHING about poltics.

It's simply ignorant to conclude that 'We don't need Europe'. Mind you, I'm not saying that Europe doesn't need the US just as much; Im saying WE NEED EACHOTHER. And sometimes it's takes sacrifice or compromise to keep relations intact. We're talking about 380 million people over here.... consumers.... importing your goods, whatching your movies, drinking your coca cola, eating at McDonalds... What will happen if the vast majority of europe suddenly decide that the U.S. just doesn't cut it anymore?

Think twice before saying that US Citizens shouldn't care about the European oppinion...

Ok you cannot ask the question which terrorist attacks has BUSH prevented you moron becuase we dont hear about the ones that were prevented for obvious reasons. Secondly whoever says that electing KErry will strengthen the US-European relationship needs to realize yes for the immediate effect it will strengthen out relationship but that is short term. You need to look at what he will do once in office there is no gurantee that he wont fuck up and piss Europe off once in office!

But surely you recognise the fact that he is a fucking idiot!! He's about as articulate as my left nut!

So why on earth would you want a muppet representing the US?

I am just sick of all the people saying things like 'yeah, lets fuck bush!' when they have no clue about anything that Kerry has done in his entire career in the senate. I am not saying that no one here does, but for the vast majority (im talking 85-90%) they have no idea about anything that this man has done for america and they will go out and vote for him because its 'cool' now to hate bush. America has bigger problems than Bush if thats the case.

Your very right. Ive never heard of kerry before he started his election campaign.

Im just gonna go with propbability!! how can kerry be worse than bush!!!

That is all!

Saying that there haven't been any terrorist attacks on the US since 9/11 as a product of Bush's leadership is meaningless. Terrorist attacks don't happen every couple of months on the US, they happen rarely because they take years of planning and preperation for them to be effective. I think all of Al Qaida's resources were spent on 9/11 up until that attack, and then they start up with a new plan once that attack was successful. And honestly, do you reall think that Bush's policy on terrorism will be much different from Kerrys? They both want to fight terrorism, and they will, but catching terrorists will most likely not be because of decisions the president makes, terrorists will be caught because of intelligence agencies doing things that the public has no idea about. I'm guessing that the only difference between Kerry and Bush's terrorism policies would be a little awareness on Kerry's part of civil liberties of the citizens.

Lateralis, on his turn-ons:

'a shaved box, i dont want no fucken rain forest greeting me when i tear off those little cotton panties, id much rather have a nice gaping axe wound that is dripping with wetness while i stare at it in amazement and eat that shit like its elephant food!'

This is how i see it both canidates arent fit for the job both are idiots in my opinion. Bush and barely speak english and Kerry is a push over little girl. But right now all the middle estern countries are scared as shit from the US cause of Bush and they know if they do any thing to the US Bush will make sure that there country is no longer on the face of the earth. All the other countries are hopeing that Kerry gets in office because hes a push over, he cant make up his mind, and because they know that he wont fight back nearly as hard as Bush would. But right now i belive that the counrty would be in better hands with Bush then Kerry because he can make up his mind, hes wont take shit from any one, and hes gonna do the most possible to protect our country.

Well that my opinion

and if i could vote rack one up for Bush

Neither candidates are a prime choice. As far as that goes, I believe a predictable president is better than a unpredictable one. Sure Bush has done some bad things, but at least you know where he stands on things. Kerry is unpredictable and I don’t trust that. People defend Kerry’s flip-flops by saying that there is nothing wrong with changing your mind. That is true to a point. There is a fine line, but Kerry has crossed it several times.

For Example:

Regarding Vietnam; sure Kerry did go to Vietnam, no one disputes that he was actually there. People only question what he did there. I could care less about what he did there. It is tired and mostly irrelevant. One thing that few people point out is what he did when he came back from the war. He came forward publicly and spoke about his comrades-in-arms. He called many of his fellow soldiers rapists and baby killers. Real nice guy huh. And he is a “war hero no less. Would you trust a guy who did that if you fought by his side? And if he did the same shit as you in the war? Fuck no. He probably only did this so he wouldn’t get spit on by all the hippies (like everyone else who came back from the war.) Most veterans don’t trust him. Why would they.

The War on Terror (senate): Kerry currently is firmly against the war in Iraq. But if anyone here recalls his time in the senate, he supported it. That was only a little over year ago. Don’t you love his firm stance. I don’t trust him.

He does change his mind, but not for a greater good, but for his own gain. How could this affect us if he were president? He could potentially switch his view on all of his polices. Anything from abortion to taxes. He could also be bought. OPEC gives him some money under the table, oil prices continue to rise up, and no effort is made for alternative resources.

Sure neither Bush nor Kerry are ideal, but I’m going with the one that in can predict.

Long story short, I don’t trust John Kerry.

Thats how campaigns are. You will never find an election in the history of our country where there hasnt been negative campaigning on both sides. Besides, I think that it is really funny that the left just likes to conveniently forget about the hate rally in hollywood where al these liberal stars got up and said completely innappropriate things and then kerry gets up and proclaims them as the 'heart and soul of america'. Yeah sure, the words didnt come out of kerrys mouth but he was fully endorsing it. Then the democrats blow their load when a bunch of vets come out with their side of the story in vietnam on how it involves kerry and accuse bush of trying to smear him. At least the swiftboat veterans were coming up with actual reasons why Kerry shouldnt be elected instead of Whoopie Goldberg saying we shouldnt vote for Bush because of his name at kerrys rally.

heres a couple scary things that bush hasnt really prevented:

1.lighters and matches on planes

2.people sneaking scissors onto planes. about 8 months after 9/11 when security should have been ultra high my grandmom and me flew to england. from newark. when we got their my grandmom opened up her carry on for some reason and saw that there were scissors in it.

You cant blame kerry for exposing some of the things that happened in vietnam. It was a brutal war, it was one that no one wanted to be fighting, and, from the USA point of view everyone was a potential enemy. Torture, rape, and killings of children, women, and men were common place. Im not saying that this is the case, but you hear about vets having problems addapting after war, and having things on their mind, things that took place, maybe he was just trying to clear his conciouns. Anyway in any war, depending who you ask a person may be a hero or an idiot. Even members of the same plattoon will think differently about a leader. Ex general patton: hailed an idiot by many, but a hero and expert fighter by others. At least he had the balls to go, as opposed to being awol back in texas. by the way everyone should watch platoon- great movie

quinny, although there are no falsehoods in your statement, you are 'a tool to Bush’s propaganda' because your statement is exactly what bush's points are at his speeches. they are not wrong, just skewed to fit bush's points...

by the way a president who always makes bad choices isn't better than a unpredictable president who can get something right half the time

“they are not wrong, just skewed to fit bush's points

Skewed huh? How so?

“always makes bad choices

I don’t believe he has always made bad choices. I believe has made both good and bad decisions. That is opinion and is not a valid argument. Unless you can elaborate that all of his decisions have been bad.

****************************************

well for example 'Most veterans don’t trust him'. i am sure you didn't hear that on some news site but rather from bush's speeches. I think that most vets probably respect him, not hate him. Don't say most veterans because useless you asked the vets yourself you can't trust that statement

'i am the malcolm x of masturbation'

I think you guys would be fine, not attacked by anyone if your fuckin' presidents listened to Washington's Farewell address. We would prolly be all Nazi's in Europe now, but you'd have your peace and quiet. Not as much prosperity since the depression was turned over by our (european) problems and your (american) profit of it, but hell...people in the middle east wouldn't burn your flag for the fun of it.

Anyone who said people inthe middle east are scared of the US is a dumbass...they are not. at all...they are filled with hatred, the hatred you experience when a stranger enters your country, blows things up and does everything in a way completely different from yours. Trust me, they are alll ready to die just to see the US suffer (in any possible way)

Bush is an idiot. Maybe Kerry is too. What does it matter to you guys if you can't do anything abouyt your fucked up corporate 2 party system anyway? Move to postcommunist countries if you wanna experience freedom.

EUROPE KICKS ASS

That 'Most veterans don’t trust him' came from multiple things. But the major one was personal experience. ALL of the veterans that I personally know hate him, and I know at least 20 vets.

****************************************

I can tie my shoes. My parents are very proud.

well if you got that from personal experiences then i guess i was wrong, i thought that it was just something you heard on tv. i apolegize.

ok you people need to realize that kerry's platform is basically his time in vietnam, and how that makes him such a great president, and yes i can attest to the fact that most vietnam vets dislike him, because of the fact that kerry was an officer who was deployed to vietnam for the sole purpose of gaining combat time to boost his record so he could move higher up in the chain of command, this was done a shitload in vietnam and was one of the problems of vietnam, the commanders didnt stay in vietnam long at all, kerry only went to vietnam for 4 months to buff up his record and most vietnam vets were there for at least a year, this kinda pisses them off because they actually had to stay for a year, where kerry just made a quick 4 month stop in vietnam, then went right back to washington where he could further his military career, and because kerry bases so much of his campaign on his short stint in vietnam that doesnt even compare to what most normal soldiers had to go through a lot of veterans are annoyed
