The Eighty Six Review

watched it last night. splices review is weak. the movie is real sick filming editing wise. probably the cleanest looking ski or snowboard movie ive seen. and they kept the theme of "86" throughout the movie which was sick. if i had to find a downside I would say it was a lot like a technine movie, tons of slow mow, not a lot of crazy tricks just crazy spots. but thats not really a downside so, whatever. its sick. they did it well

yeah youre right. since i snowboard i should have no ties to the skiing world. theyre two totally different things and one should never overlap the other.

didn't enjoy it as a film as much as I enjoyed weight, i felt that the sound track was a little bit lacking and it didnt have the soul and feeling that weight did, but that's all my personal preference and opinion.

the skiing was absolutely incomparable to anything I have ever seen in a movie before, and that's whats really matters. I've watched it at least 6 times now. muy bueno

I may or may not find a copy of this dvd in my mailbox tomorrow. It has been a couple of days since i ordered.. Cant.. fucking... wait...

Watched it today, and for me its easily my favorite stept movie and an instant classic must-have movie. The editing was terrific, and although at first I wasnt into a couple of the songs, i think the music is very good overall. The skiing was very good, and I loved the creative urban spots they found. My one critique is that I felt the movie was a little short and definately could have used a nick martini banger reel to take it to the next level. Overall 9/10

Didn't really like the sound track, skiing was amazing, along with cinematography. You should buy this movie.

no shit he works for saga you fucking idiot he does most all of the filming for saga and even gave you some footy for one ur edits. jesus christ ur an idiot

Yeah because I definitely don't know jerm and definitely thought he didnt work for saga. You're the fucking idiot. Get fucked.

i do most of the bad filming. all the good shots come from eheath, napes, jordan, and AJ. you lost again. anyone that says im a filmer obviously doesnt know their ass from their ankles. i know how to press record and focus, thats about it.

i was at camp with him and he wanted everyone to call him "splice" and then he talked in the 3rd person about himself...too funny

instead of making a thread about it, ill post my review in here. stept is legendary for amazing movies. and boy did they deliver! the skiing should go in the mind=blown thread. every athlete brought their A game and rocked it. there wasn't one segment i said, ' well that blew". the style of the cinematography was incrdible. it fit to the movie and brought a certain ambiance to the movie! definitely made the movie awesome. now addressing the music. i have seen a lot of complaints about the music in the 86, however i thought it went pretty well with the movie (maybe i just have different taste). the soundtrack in wheight was awesome and this was really good but not equal to whieght's. all in all i give this movie a good to go on buying. i think stept has absolutely great dedication and makes dope movies. def get this movie NS! or at least see it somehow, its worth a look!

lots of respect to be giving to the Stept crew for their hard work and dedication on this movie and to showcase a portion of the sport that does not get legit documentation. That being said, great movie!
