The east coasts best mountain

If you guys had to pick one resort on the east coast with the dopest park and the best jib scene, with the best local riders killing it, which would you pick and why? wheres the place to be?

i gotta throw it out there just because i;ve invested a lot of blood sweat and tears into it. I think Ski Sundown in Connecticut is a fun place to ski. It;s small, so you cant help but meet people. We're making pretty good strides in the way of terrain features and fun events for everyone. The local talent pool gets better by the week, seeing cab 270 ons with 450 offs on a bananna rail daily... switch ups to switch on the giant rainbow... just a lot of impressive shit i never thought i;d see in connecticut. Come check us out this fall for our movie premire night on Nov. 12th showing shangaih six, ephed and some other movie which i havent decided on just yet. theres some early season video clips on www.rightsideproductions.com that you may enjoy if you havent checked them out yet

 
For park and pipe- Sunday River for sure.

For everything else in skiing- Sugarloaf

I love waterville valley, NH. the park there is almost always in perfect shape (I over heard a snowboarder in line once saying the park reminded him of mammoth). they put in a stairset last season and that is a lot of fun. Personally, I have not met one mean or bad skier from wv either. and to say the talent at wv is good would be an understatement. just check out Me Gusta for some of the locals, but even by watching random skiers at wv you come to one conclusion: everyone kills it.

killington really stepped up their park this year. and (minus the rediculously crowded saturdays) it's a pretty good mountain. in general it has better terrain than some of the other vermont hills. they moved the entire park over to one area (bear mountain) which i thought was pretty cool.

the best skiing in my opinion, however, is at mad river glen, stowe and jay peak.

okemo is getting really, really sick. in addition to the best pipe on the east coast, the park last year from march on was amazing. supposedly they are tripling their jibs for next year, and they seem to have their shit together on every count. everyone is nice, lots of good kids, throwin down every day, check it out.

 
sunday river is my home, so i gotta vouch for it, might not be the best but everyones got that mountain that they just feel a part of

i have to strongly disagree with you, in my experience sr's park and pipe are almost always icy, and theres usually a lack of rails, the only time i really like it is in the spring.

stratton, their park is dope for anyone who can hit that shit. There are 10+ kids who absolutly kill it and the whole scene (during the week) is pretty chill and more like an actual ski resort instead of a tourist breeding ground

yeah from friday to sunday, the weekend sometimes suck balls because its so fucking crowded, but the park isnt usually to out of control because of those safety passes

wachusett mountain in mass. accually has a pretty nice park in the day time. it gets mad glazed over with ice at night though

My vote is for Sugarbush, just because it can be full parking lot, and you won't more than 3 minutes in a line. When I think of a good mountain though, I just want to make it to the top fast, and then I can make it fun from there.

I live 10 minutes from Killington, and I won't set foot on that mountain. It's too frickin' crowded.

Well since i ave only been to Smuggs and Sugarbush, my vote is kinda ignorant. But, I would pick Sugarbush out of the two. They had better lifts, parks, snow, the glades werent run out, better cliffs, and better lodges. The only thing Smuggs had was the pipe.

 
watervilles definatley got the dopest park scene. pipes almost always perfect, the park is great. good features and well maintained, and everyones super cool.

mt snow has the best parks in the east. PERIOD

mount snow is among the top 3 parks in the east no doubt, and the local skiers are out of control.

Park and pipe probably killington or okemo, they have some serious stuff, been there a few times.

All mountain I would say Mad River. If you can ski Mad River well, you can ski any where well.

Are you buying an all east college pass? It'd help me out if you bought it at attitash.com/parker. It's the same price as the normal site and will accomplish the exact same thing, but you'd be helping out a fellow newschooler. thanks
