with the lack of snow. all of the competitions are gonna get cancelled. vermont open, wsi, and other big name comps are not gonna be able to happen if the dont have the snow to build a pipe or park. they gotta move the competitions to tahoe and mammoth where we have a 160 inch snow base.

 
yeah, being on the east coast is really killing the wsi's chances eh.

I was really exited for the east coast WSI. I guess their gonna have to move it back to Whistler now

 
In case you haven't noticed...most places in VT have gotten 30+ inches in the last 5 days or so.

^Grow the fuck up dark-whatever-your-name is. We're all skiers and you know what, I can afford to move out west, my family is on the east coast, and this is where I call home. So you can call us east coasters pussys or whatever but I can turn that right around on you. Come out and ski our ice, come ski our tight trees with ice. Come ski our parks with rock hard boiler-plate landings. Come ski the variable conditions with a biting wind and flat light. And even with the sub-par conditions we get, we still produce some kick-ass skiers. We still go out there in that shit and have fun.

Being out there skiing every day, good or bad, just playing around with friends, with no contests or filming- that is the real spirit of skiing for me. that is why i started skiing, and if i lose those moments that is what will make me stop skiing.

^Actually Bristol, I do know how much it sucks to live in western NY, I went to college in Rochester. Been to all those little hills out there. You know what, even though the vertical isn't much to brag about, even though the snow isn't much to brag about, I was still happy just to be out skiing. Just be happy with what you have and try to make the best of it.

skifiend...i was saying like when people say how little snow vt has and these things wont go down they are wrong because i was at vt and they had alot of snow. when you said taht they just got 30in nobody was listening and didnt realize that vt has been getting snow. when vt is gettting all this snow weve gotten rain and thats it

all vermonts gotten this year is shit..but i still love it. it's home and once the groomers out it's all the same to me

Yea i dont think that the majority of west cost skiers feel this way. I have skied out west alot and meet plenty of chill dudes who at least respect east coast skiing even if they cant relate. We got to ski what we have. Why turn it into a coast battle.

Pete is currently sulking around Mt. Hood, shooting with Poor Boyz Productions and hitting on Kristi Leskinen. She hates guys, Pete lamented, so it’s not going good. Apparently Canada isn’t the only thing that’s tough for Pete to get into.

its that we west coasters think better of oursevles than you east coasters, we just dont like it when you guys talk yourselves up and make yourselves sound better than us or make your resorts sound better than yours. Dont get me wrong, you guys do produce some of the best skiers in the world. PARK skiers. But when it comes to sheer numbers, the EC just doesnt have anything big enough to compare to us. You guys have ONE ski area with lift-served above treeline terrain, Sugarloaf. And the only resort that ranks in acerage is Killington, which doesnt even hold a candle to say, Snowmass. So heres the deal: we'll give you guys props for being good skiers and we wont talk shit, and you guys stop saying shit like 'you dont know how to ski unless you ski east coast'.

all the comps will happen the east coast dosnt rely on naturaul snow acctually is worse snow years at places such as killington the snow lasts longer because there forced to make main made snow and it last much longer then natreual snow beace it is much more dence. so dont wory about any oth the comps they will deffinatly go down

east coast isnt that bad, i mean if i had the choice id go west in a heart beat, but they do get decent snow once in a while. Its def just a bad year for snow in general. we may have none, but there were meets that were supposed to b in idaho n they had to move them out east cuz they didnt have enough snow for it.

 
whiteface has 3,400 vertical feet....thats alot even for the west. but anyway why does everything come to these arguments......westerners and easterners have their own strongpoints....but there are some nasty eastern bc riders
