The easiest way to avoid getting your skis stolen!

no lock? thats ok!

alot of kids are getting there skis stolen, and it boggles my mind that you dont lock or seperate them, sure, we are supposed to trust people, but go the extra mile and dont play with fire.

ready for the explanation? ok.

when you take your skis to put against the rack, put one on the rack, the other on a rack a couple over.

voila ! no more ski theft.

People have been separating their skis forever..

people watch where you put them, and then they steal them - problem minimised but not sold...

bring em with you inside if possible...i bring mine in when i eat so there in visable site. even though no one would steal my shitty broken invaders

The easiest way to avoid getting your skis stolen is to not leave their side. If you absolutey must go somewhere without your skis, have a buddy watch them. Your shit will not get stolen, unless your buddy steals them, or is a lazy bastard.

Put your skis right next to another pair thats a lot more expensive and nice, that way the thief, if he or she knows what they are doing, will steal the nicer skis and not yours.

heres what I do. I never put my skis down where there is a parking lot around. Like when I go eat lunch at lets say Park City.. I got to the midmountain lodge thing. No one is stealing skis from a top of a mountain and skiing down with them. But I do understnad that at times that is not always an option

people on here have done that, and some have still reported them still been stolen which majorly sucks, just keep the in eyesight is my best suggestion. but im liking the idea of putting beside a fancier ski

That my friend is a great idea! i have actually never thought of that. I am going to do this for sure now not that anynes going to steal my 05 143cm line chronic minis.

Skis still get stolen when separated but it's better than nothing I guess. And a good friend of mines mother got her skis stolen at the top of Tremblant when they were separated (that isn't 100% theft proof either).

Here's what I do: lock them. It costs 25$ for a lock.

Also you kids should buy your own shit. Everyone I know who gets mommy and daddy to pay for their skis/board doesn't lock them (let alone take care of them but that's a different issue). You'll be way more cautious with your shit if you pay for it yourself.

have't seen you make a searchbar joke for aggggggges - for some reason i thought you were going all mature or something!! glad i was wrong.

hahaha, ru you kidding. Mommy and Daddy dont pay shit for me when it comes to equipment. They will help me out with clothes but only if i need them. i have been paying for ma shit since i was 11 yrs old(im 14)

Actually, me and my friend always trade one ski and put them on seperate racks, someone stole one of our pairs of mismatched skis.

So fucking angry...

Luckily they tossed em on the way down the mountain so we got em back.

thats what you think.... someone stole my 06 fujis on axium 90s with 4 or 5 edge cracks, a huge hole in the sidewall, bad delamming, and a broken brake at sunday river

seperating skis works ok but the on;y foo pruf method is to lock them up. locks cost 10 $ annd then jjust kkeep it in your ski bag so that you can never forget it. problem solved.

i did that at Alta last year.....at Alfs or whatever the midmountain food stop is

some fucker found one of my Seths on one rack, and another on a second rack, and put them together on a third rack

tons of skis get stolen even if they're separated. I dont even remember where I put mine when I separate them and I always have to spend like 5 mins trying to find them. So If someone really wanted my skis then the could just take 5 minutes to find the other.

Yeah. Some of you need to sack up and ski, going in is for pussies. Eat a big breakfast and ski til it's time to go home.

It's prety simple. Just don't go in the damn lodge. You shouldn't be paying $15 for a cheeseburger anyway. I'm a soul skier, so I never stop for lunch.

so you are one of those fuckers that put their shit on at their car and drags and scrapes their boots and shit across the pavement? real good for your equipment

haha what? i put MY shit on in my car and walk across the lot, theres snow on it anyways most of the time. and thats what everyone does? what do you go in the lodge and put your gear on? hahaha.

Just hide one of the skis. Problem solved. Put it somewhere where no-one can see it, and then walk away. If you're having huge problems with this though, buy a lock.

On a similar topic, someone stole my helmet, my gloves, and my goggles, then decides they don't like the goggles and turns them into the lost and found the next day. Seriously though, who the fuck steals helmets?

I usually seperate my skis and turn one so the base is showing so unless you know what your looking for or turn a bunch of skis over their hard to find.

like to find the biggest baddest skis i can and hide my skis behind them. so far thats worked 100% well.

doesnt work einstein. ive sotlen plently of skis that were seperated. then again ive been caught, but id just shoot them and take their skis anyways.

Steps:

1) Find a friend

2) Take one of his skis and mix it with yours and the same for the other

3) Seperate it

4) Go smoke a bowl!
