I was talking to someone about this the other day, and we figured that if they tried to implement conscription again in Australia there would be a huge public backlash and people would flat out refuse to go. I hope it doesn't come to that anywhere around the world.

Actually, its real easy to spark up a draft in the US. The system is still in place. In fact, in some states, you are automatically registered in the database when you get your drivers licence. Its simply a registry of males between 18 and 26. If they started a draft, you'd have a couple months to register, then they'd start calling up 20 year olds based on their birthdays, then 21, 22 and so on. 18 and 19 year olds are the last to go. There are already thousands registered. Anybody on this site who is pro-war should be. Its free to join... Damn its good to be a peaceful canuck.
