The downfall of Schlopy

Schlopy's ski career has taken a beating in the last couple of years. My question is, was it the constant injuries or backlash from Gus that pretty much took him off the map.

I personally don't think he can make a comeback to the comp scene but would love for him to start putting out street segments, he's got mad talent

thoughts?

I forgot about the Gus thing. A bad target. Gus put up like two clips of actual skiing last winter. Unfollowed. Good on him and all that but I followed for ski content.

Dumont got the flick too but at least he's retired.

At least Simon posts really interesting pictures. I could care less about an insta edit from dumomt, some of his photographs are unreal

I read something how that Gus thing didn't do shit . But if your not gonna compete no sponsors no sponsors no $. competing at that high of a level is expensive

Can only look at so many photos of waterfalls with a long shutter. Then he showed a clip of cork sev blunt for an Oakley commercial and I was like damn, I'll miss that.

He also got injured which I think led to sponsors dropping him. On Facebook he was on a rant for a while about how he had nothing now because he was dropped. The Gus thing shouldn't have been a big deal, if I remember correct Alex was making a good point. It's skiing so it's not like the whole world saw his comments on gus and hates him.

Not trying to hate on him but my homie saw him in Vegas at a rail jam and he was being a little bitch apparently.

I really just wanna see him land the future spin at X games, can some company besides fucking Ruroc pick him up? You can't even ski switch with those helmets and he needs another shot.

pictures of nature != nature

I mean I still like pictures of nature but that is just my opinion. As they say different strokes for different folks.

Ever since he went for that 1800 at X Games a few years back it seems he has just gone down hill...

From a big picture perspective it kind of sucks that the ski industry is so ruthless. Hey hit this gigantic jump switch but if you blow your ACL or die go fuck yourself. Is what it is, a lot if people with a lot if passion and talent competing for a small amount of resources.

Is it really that ruthless? You could be working a 9 to 5 just trying to make ends meet instead of getting to do arguably the funnest sport in the world every day you want. It's not like they didn't know the risk when deciding to pursue it.

Well that's what I do, along with 99 percent of everyone that skis. The only difference is how hard you have to send it to get anyone to care that you ski, so if you're giving it 100 percent at that level and get hurt or get cut you gotta have some sympathy.
