yea man I totally agree he should learn to ski outside of the park a bit and get a decent technique rather than sitting in the park all day, he's also pretty cocky..

hes sponsered? i thought it was harder to get sponsered than that cause i live in the south west uk and im at least as good as him and theres like hardly any freeski scene down here...

Probably because he skis, then he takes his time to ask around for sponsorships. You don't have to be especially good of a skier to be sponsored, you have to go after it, maybe he's a really smart and enthusiastic dude, showing ability to progress as a skier and represent a brand.

So THIS is the downfall of skiing?

Lay off. Ok, I'm going to take it upon myself to break a few things to you:

First, how you get "style" is up to you. Not up to me, or anyone else. It's up to you. If something strikes your fancy and you do it well, that's probably your style. Emulation may be the biggest form of flattery, but emulation kills originality.

Second, have you seen a ski movie from before 2004? Go watch "Ski Movie" by MSP or "The Game" by PBP. TONS of flailing. Guess what, everyone starts somewhere.

Lastly, no one likes negativity. It won't get you respect, and it definitely won't get you a girl. If you think his skiing is such an abomination, why don't you teach him? Man up and do something about it if you're so concerned about the "downfall of skiing".

I applaud the guy in the video, because he's probably having fun and he's got some talent.

you can get "sponsored." some companies "sponsor" your but just give you discounts is all. so i doubt he is fully sponsored theres no way. but probably "sponsored". theres a difference

^This I doubt he's contracted and get's paid a salary, they just help him out gear wise. I know some people that get stuff at around trade price technically they're sponsored ... but yeh

quoting for emphasis..... we should be uplifting each other no matter what... it's not like his lack of style prevents you from riding around on your tails all day exhaling herbal extracts into the sky

the downfall of skiing is when skiers hate on each other. and not just like this but also when like racers hate parkrats or backcountry skiers think groomers are gay and so forth. like just ski how you want to ski. who gives a shit

Haters. In a couple years he'll probably be throwing clean d-spins with a blunt grab and you twats will still be hating on videos of kids skiing.

he's probably better than a solid amount of the kids on NS. he's certainly WAY better than i am. who gives a fuck if his style isn't completely dialed? he can throw tricks and he's having fun.

So?He's a good skier. He has some nice tricks. Who cares if his arms are flailing? Flailing arms does not go away by just not doing it. Flailing arms go away with PRACTICE of EACH trick. Once you get comfortable with each trick, THEN you can add style to it. I bet if you watch some of Tom Wallisch's first backflips, they will have no style at all. But now they are ridiculously smooth. It all comes along with getting more comfortable with each trick you do. He might have just learned some of these tricks, he wont be perfect with them yet.
