The DEEP web.

No joke, I´ve investigated this topic a lot, and there is nothing really interesting in the deep web, most of it is just child porn. And all of the interesting stuff, I mean, Al-qaeda, hitmen, organ market, etc... is all dead. I mean if you are a criminal and a bunch of kids start lurking around your website you would close it as fast as you can. So anything that looks "cool" in the deep web is just stuff thats dead, nobody is actually using TOR anymore.
 
yep. I've spent a few hours browsing through it. Essentially the hidden wiki is the starting point for anyone that doesn't know what they're looking for. It links to sites like the Silkroad and various hacking forums and other forums like the assassination forum (where people hire people for killings). There was even a forum dedicated to zoonecrophelia. as in sex with dead animals.

Buuuut. And it's one big but. Just about EVERYTHING and I mean like 99% of everything you can find is fake. Obviously I don't know that for sure, but once you really start to read some stuff you realize that it's entirely just put on by lonely lonely sad individuals who have nothing better to do than to fantasize about being a hitman and posting ads in the assassination forum for example.

You can also be sure that agencies like the FBI are constantly monitoring the deep web as it's a haven for those seeking and posting child porn. There is a LOT of child porn. And to go on the deep web without knowing EXACTLY what you're doing is just dumb beyond belief. It's a great way to get tracked by the FBI or whoever and the last thing you want is to get your name on a list for child porn offenders, even just being in the vicinity of those sites and not being fully protected you can be pretty sure you're being tracked in some way already.

Also, this is just a skin. The actual internet that is called the 'deep web' is something that you can't get to at all. Not unless you know the exact exact location of what you want. None of it is indexed. For instance Some guy in Colombia will have a server set up that can only be accessed by the very few people who know the exact location. and you can be sure it's encoded and all the rest and will never in a million years be able to be accessed unless you are told by the person who set it up exactly how.

Of course a large portion of the deep web is just normal file sharing. For instance my brother has his own server that's unindexed and would be considered as part of the deep web but it's just used for family pictures and homework and music and whatever else he wants to be able to access safely and without restriction from whatever computer he's at.

But really, anything you can go on using tor like the hidden wiki is a complete joke and unless you know exactly what you're doing don't even try unless you want your number with the FBI. they take child porn rather seriously.

If Arabian was still around he's be having a field day with this thread. I don't even pretend to know 1/1000th of it.
 
I used to make bitcoins a few months back. Its actually pretty interesting. Its not any more made up than the dollar bills we use now.
 
This. With a few exceptions like silk road, most things linked to by the hidden wiki are fake/now dead after an influx of people from sites like reddit, and now NS. When people say how they've been scarred by "orphan sex slave auction sites" and the like, they're getting played. A .onion web address is encrypted to look like zw34rfgtayila2sg.onion, obviously pretty impossible to guess. If somebody legitimately wanted to sell child slaves (not saying it doesn't happen on the deep web) or discuss insider trading, they're not going to post a link to it on the most visited site on the deep web.

As for OP's "toe to toe with anon" statement, lol. Having idled in multiple "anonymous" irc channels in years' past, "Anonymous" is about 95% 14 year old script kiddies, and 5% people with actual programming skills, only now they seem to have some stupid moral agenda.
 
I don't understand how something that so few people know and use compared with the surface web, can be 500x bigger than the latter. There just can't be 7500 TERABYTES of child porn. Surely the larger percentage of the web would lie where the larger percentage of people use? Maybe I'm missing something?
 
i really want to try this but i dont want to see fucked up shit or get my personal info hacked by some fucking russian mafia its interesting that something this big can go unnoticed buy 99% of the population / threads
 
Well one of the reasons why it's so big is that a lot of it is duplicate information. The same document can be copied hundreds or thousands of times, as far as actual sole information there's not nearly 7500 terabytes. Hope that helped
 
I assume the lot of it is just raw data that would be meaningless to the average user due to their breadth.

I've poked around for a minute, and can tell I'm only at the gates, but don't really have any desire to go any "deeper."
 
my temptation got the best of me and i went last night.

like others have said, its pretty much dead besides the child porn stuff, thats not exactly very active either. the hitman stuff is a joke, drug selling stuff was just stupid as well. it takes about 5 min to get to the "deep web" and drug buying/selling links are on the home page of wiki so how stupid could you possible be, so easy to get caught.

besides all that, it was kind of interesting and different, as long as you dont go clicking on random links that people post on forums you will be fine.
 
Just spent the last half hour lurking around on some .onions sites.....It seems like a sea of child porn. Really its not worth checking out. Im sure there is some interesting stuff out there but personally im going to leave it alone.
 
i know how its designed to avoid getting caught but it just seems so easily accessible to get on the hidden wiki and anybody could pose as someone, cop could pose as a buyer or seller. thats just what i took from it, i guess it could be more than what i saw, i didnt go to deep with the drug stuff
 
You're right, its accessible, but from the nature of the transaction it's safe. Buy by sellers ratings, I'm sure the DEA wouldn't do 100 transactions just to get good reviews to bust one person. Just as sellers take precautions so buyers can not locate them.

I think they've thought about this stuff.

The point of it, at least as far as I can gather, is that it's decentralized that their is no head for them to take off anyways.
 
This was interesting but I stopped browsing after reading all these stories about it on the 4chan archives, they creep me out too much.
 
i went on it a while ago and saw some pretty fucked up things. luckily i'm insensitive to stuff like that for some reason. i also read some weird ass message boards about anarchy. nothing all too interesting. but seriously, don't go on it if you don't know how to protect yourself from hackers and being tracked by the FBI.

i was at my friend's house and mentioned the topic. he wanted to see for himself so i told him how, but then i realized that i didn't want to be responsible for his computer being royally fucked by hackers so i advised him against it. my friend decided to venture into the deep web anyway; while he was poking around, his webcam light turned on. i immediately dove at his router and ripped the ethernet cord out while he shut off the laptop. needless to say, we were scared shitless.

These people are much less hardened than I am, so you will here me refer to things with a much more nonchalant manner.

I've spent a good bit of time on the "deep web" and it's really not a big deal. A lot of the information is available for free on the regular web. The information given in the OP may be true, it may not be, but I sincerely doubt it.

There are places where there are assassins for sale, websites like the pedoforum which are solely dedicated to child pornography, sites where they do drug deals, where people pay for people to smuggle them slave children, etc.

The child pornography (CP) forums are a little disturbing. The pedoforum I remember had a thread about a man who had a daughter who was about 3 months old, and he had been doing things like spanking her, spreading open her vaginal lips, and having her suck on the head of his penis. He took pictures of all of these things and posted them, and spoke of how he hoped to raise her as his own personal cum slut, and how he would humiliate her until she would serve him willingly. Him and another member named Predator talked for pages about the abuse that they both wanted to subject this little girl to.

I found and subsequently downloaded and watched a movie called "The Grifter" which is a disgusting snuff film. It's literally watching people get murdered. There was a scene in particular where the main character, the Grifter, came into a room where he had 3 people chained up to the ceiling. He killed the 1st man by taking a knife, and stabbing him directly in the spine 3 times. The man would shake uncontrollably, and release his bowels. The blade was covered in flesh and bone and blood, so the Grifter forced the man to lick the blade clean, before he shoved the blade through the mans skull. That was the most pleasant of the 3 murders.

As I continued through the "deep web" I found out it's mainly just bullshit. People hosting websites with stuff they copied out of the anarchists cook book. The sites are usually one or two pages, and contain little to no information. There's no real insider trading, or actually useful information being traded. It's all just bullshit, for the most part.

Also, despite what people will say, there is no need for a proxy. The only way to access it is to use Tor, which is a proxy in itself. A proxied firefox is just as safe as a firefox using tor. Using both doesn't improve the safety. It's not illegal to access the deep web either, so even if the government did track you down, there would be no point because it's freely available information and none of it is going to get you put away. Unless you download things like child porn.
 
I'm going there out tonight. I might come, or not come back. With huge amount of dead bodies and heroin. WHOS WITH ME?!
 
tbh, i can't understand how can i get to all that dirty drug stuff and so.. It's just normal browser. How can i find those intresting .onion sites? + its super slow
