blatant lie. there is literally no way a girl who never plays video games got 20 kills in anything resembling a real match, against real people. just total bullshit
and on the opinion side of things, id say halo is a lot harder to be good at and thats why i think its more fun. theres like countless ways to kill someone so instead of just, whoever flicks their right stick fastest and sprays the enemy, there are a million different things i can do and a ton more decision-making involved in halo. for example if someone gets the first shot on you, you could lead him with a nade so its at his feet when it blows up, then rush him faster than he would like so you can get the melee in etc etc there are so many more things going on
 
Yeah CS is intense i used to play that piece of video game meth all the time. It becomes an addiction. people put wayyy to much time into that game though. Getting good enough to no scope with an awp from t spawn on dust2 requires easily 50 hours of game mastering and thats just one trick. (If you play CS you understand what im saying.

Im also a big Call of Duty fan but i must say after MW2 they will have to change up the formula. The games are still based on a 6 year old formula. A linear enviroment with scripted events and shooting gallerys. But what makes the games good is how they take this formula and make it fun and interesting. They always have one or two of those levels that everyone talks about like in COD1 the chase scene and recently in COD4 the AC130 level and the sniper level.

Call of duty isnt the most innovative Fps but it is one of the most fun. I think MW2 will be the pinnacle of the Call of duty franchise possiblely beat by COD1. I also feel like COD is a game that has an amazing campagin and an amazing multi player experience unlike some other games like halo (im a huge halo fan).

I still definately enjoy the campaign in all the halos but i dont feel like its quite as gripping as the COD games. As far as the multi player i love both of them equally. Halo is more of a pick up and play online experience where as COD is something that takes time to learn and master online.

BTW im picking up COD:MW2 tonight at 12:01 at gamestop along with a buncha redbull and im going on a binge. This is the second game i have felt stoked enough on to do this (Halo 2 was the first)
 
not to be a dick but I will, but the reason you go 8-16 one game and 30-5 the next is because you suck. jump on a pc and play cal or even just a pick up game on irc running pro-mod and see how much skill it takes. This is what happens with console kiddies and there match making system they play with a bunch of noobs and believe they are good because they play against noobs plain and simple. With the pc we have dedi clan servers so you get to know which ones support good players and which ones support pubs.
 
my friend is camping out at eb games tonight until 12:01 (he is already there: 6pm) and he is skipping school tomorrow, wednesday and thursday and friday is a pd day then he has the weekend. he is going to be near the top of the leaderboards.

over the last few months on cod4...i bet ive had less kills than deaths maybe 10 times...my k/d is 1.56...with 15 days played, I'm not going to call it domination not at all...but I can honestly say I never go 8 - 15 then 30 - 5....it goes like...17 - 7...20 - 6...15 - 4...18 - 11...the skew in my games is when I played on bog its my best map on TDM today I went 31 - 2 and on search i went 17 - 3 (actually got my first airstrike in a search and destory match today hahah right when MW is about to be retired)
 
you first airstrike in a search and destroy match after 15 days of playing? thats week. i got my first one within 4 weeks of buying cod4 and touching an xbox 360 controller for the first time
 
my k/d is 1.47 with 5 something days played and has been going up since I got the game (was 1.3 2 months ago). Maybe I don't notice all the games I do well in but when I play poorly it really sticks out and seems like all the time.

either way, 10 am tomorrow morning shit is going down. if anyone is going to be playing online then add me, gt is r4ndy moss
 
not going to lie, i'm not that good a search and destroy, and I'm not going to make up stories of how good I am, and the fact that I've probably played search for a totally of 2 of those 15 days. Search is fun and usually the best competition but most of the time I can't stand waiting once you die.

Someone talked about the scripted action. I have to admit that is an obvious weakness, and I expect the next one to be like Crysis (but more fun) if IW wants to compete.

both amazing games, first left for dead was lots of fun and im sure the second will be even better... but theres no way that its better then CoD, online playing is some of the best out there. Left 4 dead will be amazing at first but youll proabably get bored of it
 
meh pretty good game i guess.... fun to play with buddies, super easy though, cs 1.6 & cs:s are the true masters of online fps gaming in my mind

You are running along and at a certain point the truck next to you blows up. That is a scripted moment. Crysis was more like Far Cry Instincts. The levels are somewhat linear but you get to choose how you go about getting shit done.
 
Crysis/Far cry 2 is like- see that place over there... yeah wayyyy over there. Head in that direction and you will get there. Huge open environment, loads of detail, what happens is up to you. Do you want to go balls out and throw bitches with your hands? Do you want to snipe a whole group out from a mile away? Something in-between?

COD is like somewhat of a corridor shooter, meaning there is one, or only a few ways to go about doing something. They admitted it in a review I saw, though they said they worked extra hard to give you that free feeling, and they do a very good job with the scripted action.

That's why I expect the next one to be like Crysis/FC2, but it doesn't have to be as open. It would be foolish not to consider doing it that way.

from the gameplay footage of mw2 i've seen it seems to work the scripted scenes into the more free environment, like the scene where soap knifes the dude off the snowmobile and things like that

earlier in that mission tho it seems to be a big map where you can approach the mission any way you please. its still very much of a specific outcome, you don't influence the rest of the campaign like in far cry or even gta

I kept screaming every time something awesome happened and I was screaming a lot.
 
so playing at midnight by yourself = getting raped. not really that bad, still managed a 1.4 kd but every game was a massive team vs me and noobs. shit was uber gay
 
so dumb how there aren't dedicated servers on pc version. still picking it up though, let me know if anyone plays PC
 
lots of clans trying to boost and get as high as possible. you shouldn't have too much of a problem since this game matches more on rank and by now the real serious ones are probably 30+ by now

do you think a lot of the online community is going to switch over to MW2 or will most still play reg. cod4?

i only want to buy one version when i get the ps3.
 
just curious, did anyone get the prestige edition? how are those night vision goggles?

In hardcore on the PC version of the last one you could die from one shot from every gun. Pistols took two shots really fast unless you were right next to the guy.
